Chapter 7 - CHAPTER 7: FINAL TOUCHING OF MY PAPER

**

thirty minutes later of which is quarter past ten, I was already done with my paper. So I sat down and just going through my work and making prophecies on my paper because, sometimes you may write well, but the markers might grade you failure due to marking error.

While sitting quietly with my paper, I heard my name Rosie! Rosie! Not too loud though. My friend that was thrown to the middle seat while trying to seat at the back said "I need answers to question No. 2". I Whispered in a hush  voice "how will I do that? Supervisors are at my front and as I was thinking of what to do.

'The lecturer said loudly "pens up!" All stands…...! Drop your paper on the desk. If you are caught writing, you will be penalised'.

I stood up leaving my paper immediately because at this point in time, supervisors are so furious and hunting for doublers.

Hey! You....

You again...!

You on red on blue jeans.! what are you still writing. I followed the directions of his fingers with my eyes while standing close to my paper for the supervisor to come and picked it up.

I saw my friend struggling to write. oh!...no... as I exclaimed with perturbation.

It...'s nothing sir she responded with frightening all over her body and her head looking down on her booklet. I omitted my matriculation number and I have to put it down. "This is your last chance" as the supervisor reassured her. If not, I would have given you exam Mal practice form to fill and you know what that means right?

Yes sir! she concurs

Then the supervisors took our papers and we dismissed the hall.

My friend's name is Joy. She called me Rosie as a short form of Rosemary. I have few friends for different reasons. Joy is the one that always gets me information. Sometimes, about the latest news in the class or in the environment.

She's of the talking type that never likes opening her books to study. I have tried so hard to influence her but she never cared about it.

Rosie! as she called me angrily and walked reluctantly towards me and said 'I have been calling you but all to no avail'

What do you expect me to do? You knew quite alright that I am sitting at the front seat and supervisors can see clearly at the front seat or do you want to implicate me? as I questioned her.

No! Rosie... You know that I don't to implicate you. but...

but! what? as I interrupted her statement, You are my best friend and I want us to graduate together! or is there something chasing you from studying your book that you don't want me to know about it?

Well, I have said enough already as i apologized reluctantly while sauntering to our various hostels.. I exhaled happily that this paper is out. We have been writing exams for the past three weeks now. We are left with two more papers to round up with.
