Chereads / Assassin in The Witcher / Chapter 32 - Meeting

Chapter 32 - Meeting

The trip to Renne's solar, the head of the witchers of the Wolf school, was done without problems. First, the witcher leads the assassins through the training grounds, where Saibus and Desmond watched the novices do their training. The witcher then leads them inside the castle. They cross several rooms and climb large stairs before arriving at the Rennes office. The witcher knocks on the door twice to signal their presence.

"Come in." declares a deep voice from the other side of the door. The witcher opens the door and enters the office, followed by our assassins.

The Rennes sunglasses are classic except for a few magical objects that it includes.

"Rennes, assassins want to talk to you." said the old witcher to his leader.

Rennes looks up at a map of the area where monster nests are indicated.

"Thanks, Bjorn. You can return to your post." Renne's answers. The witcher then leaves the room. Leonidas and Trinity advance in front of Rennes while Desmond and Saibus stay behind and observe the situation. Saibus observes Rennes and notices that he looks like aged Xanxus from the Hitman Reborn manga with it. Rennes wears the traditional armor of the school of the wolf with its steel sword and the other in silver which are stored in its back.

"What are two Council members doing at Kaer Morhen," said Rennes.

Trinity steps forward, "We've come to talk to you about a few things, but first of all, can I cast a spell to keep someone from hearing what we're about to talk about?" Trinity asks.

Rennes thinks about it before nodding. He knows that the Assassins didn't come looking for trouble at his school. On the contrary, Witchers and Assassins have always cooperated and helped each other when needed.

Obtaining permission from Rennes, Trinity casts her spell. Her hands begin to glow. She makes a circle with her hands before separating them. Seeing his master cast a spell, Saibus tries to feel the magic in the air but cannot do so because Trinity has cast a spell that prevents magic detection. This means the school wizards who want to destroy it won't know a cast spell, which does not arouse their curiosity.

With the spell in place, Trinity takes a notebook out of her coat and forwards it to Rennes.

"My apprentice and I found this notebook in a nobleman's house in Ard Carraigh during a mission given by the king. I warn that only the Council and members of this room know that we have this notebook, and I would like it to stay that way. It would help if you only talked about this to people who will never betray you. " Trinity said in a serious voice.

Rennes frowns at Trinity's words. If any member of the League Council is this serious, what is in this notebook is extremely serious. He takes the notebook and begins to read it. The more he read the part marked by the assassins, the more his face showed anger to rage. Finally, he closes the notebook and looks at the assassins.

"Thank you for this information. My school will be forever indebted to you." Rennes declares solemnly, still with a visible rage in his eyes.

"You don't have to feel indebted. Witchers and assassins have always stood together. We are two sides of the same piece, you walking in the light and we in the shade." declares Leonidas.

Rennes nods at Leonidas' statement. Not many people know about the Assassin's Guild. Only witchers, wizards, and a few kings and queens know of their existence. Witchers and Assassins do the same job, protecting the population from monsters, with one difference. Witcher deals with watches while assassins deal mainly with watches in human form.

"There are several people I trust to help me save my school. Can I count you in there?"

"Of course," replied Leonidas.

"You just need to make an excuse for our presence for the long time to come." continues Trinity.

"Yes, if not, traitors make you wary. I presume you have one if you say that," said Rennes.

Leonidas and Trinity look at each other before the latter smiles.

"You can say that we are here to partner with your school. We are here for our disciples and yours to bond to perpetuate the good relationship between witchers and assassins that other mentors and their apprentices do. same with other schools. " said Trinity.

"It may work but what do you do if the traitors make connections with other schools and learn that there are no assassins in other schools." Rennes retorts.

"Who says there are no assassins in other witcher schools," Trinity responds with a smirk.

Rennes then understood that the League had planned an excuse for their stay in his school.

'The assassins are still as devious and clever as ever. ' does he think.

The assassins and Rennes came out of the latter's study room. Rennes went to see a witcher so that he summons all the members of the school to announce the presence of the assassins.

Rennes goes out into the courtyard in front of the front door of the castle, followed by the assassins.

Half an hour later, at the bottom of the stairs leading to the front door, are the members of the Wolf School.

Rennes comes forward and begins a speech.

"Please listen carefully because I won't repeat myself. You know the League of Assassins we have a relationship with." Witchers and wizards nod their heads as the apprentices wonder about the League.

"The League Council and the heads of the witcher schools have decided to improve the relationship between us. As a result, the League has sent several mentors and their apprentices to the schools. Here are the mentors we join there, Leonidas and Trinity with their apprentices, Desmond and Saibus. "

The former witchers were surprised by the mentors present. They know they are Leonidas and Trinity. Apprentices are happy that new people are coming, which means more people to train.

The school magicians, on the other hand, are neither happy nor unhappy with the arrival of the assassins. It is not their problem.

After the little speech, Rennes entrusts our assassins Bjorn, the old witcher. Bjorn shows them around the castle and shows them their rooms, which are two in number in the heights of the castle. Trinity and Saibus occupy one room while Desmond and Leonidas occupy the last.

The visit to the castle lasted the rest of the day. The sun is slowly setting, giving way to his sister.

In their room, Saibus and Trinity are placing magic spells and runes to prevent being spied on in any way.

"Phew, finished. Now we can talk and do whatever we want without these shitty wizards invading our privacy." Trinity said after a sigh.

'Not all magicians know telepathy and try to invade your brain and your privacy like some bald man in a chair.' Saibus thinks of his mentor's remark.

"Okay, I have to take a shower after this trip." Trinity goes to a corner of the room where a huge screen where there is a large basin that serves as a shower.

As he hears Trinity whistling and the water flowing, Saibus walks up to the balcony which offers splendid views of the valley and the mountain ranges in the distance.

He sits on a seat on the balcony and admires the scenery. He looks down at his wolf pendant. He takes it in his hand, brings it to his lips, and kisses it.

"I miss you, Yen."
