since my childhood, I loved writing short stories, reading short stories and novels, and even stealing some from my older brothers if I had the chance to. stories were like the gate away from my world to a world I created in my imagination, a world that I could call my own. a world that I can imagine myself in, doing only what I loved with the people that I chose.
now I'm over 18 and I'm still in love with writing, well, as a teen in my country, there isn't much that you could do writing stories, so, having some people to read and give feedback on your writings is something really good as a starting point that would make you learn from your mistakes, know what people loved and hated about your writing style.
my older sister have always been the connections guy, she knew a lot of people. And by saying a lot of people I really mean a lot of people.
her friends were writers, singers, artists and so on and they were some pretty successful guys too!
but as the youngest brother, I didn't get any attention from my siblings.
one day my sister sent me an invitation to a telegram channel, that moment I was a complete idiot that I didn't know that that exact invitation that very moment would change my life forever.
I entered the channel, it was a channel for short stories and it was moderated by three of my sister's friends. and I'm going to let you guess what I asked my sister, right! I wanted to write and publish my stories in front of nearly a thousand people, because that was a very good opportunity for me.
So it happened and I asked my sister to ask her friends to make me part of the writing team which was at that point of time about three people writing short stories and motivational quotes and so.
it would be a challenge for me to try and write along with these professionals, or let's say experts.
so, she told them and they replied back! she told me that if I wanted to write in the channel I would have to write everyday in a consistent rate, so, a short story every day.
it was somehow of a responsibility to be honest. because sometimes you have a lot of ideas and sometimes you don't.
so I took on the challenge and asked her to ask them to let me write.
the team were all girls. Jessica, Bertha and Sofi.
it was such a hard time for me to be a lonely boy among three girls, but I wouldn't let that hold me back. there was the main channel, comments channel and the admins group where we used to hang out and show each other our ideas and thoughts.
of course I was just a man who just watched and didn't talk, but I was kind of lost so I asked a simple question.
"Hi, why is there 2 channels? one for comments and the main one?"
mmmmmm, at first I didn't get a straight reply but after sometime Jessica replied.
"one is the main and one is for comments"
that's not an answer I know but it was foolish of me to be honest to ask about that in the first place so, yeah.
at that point of time had I realized that I had to impress them, I still didn't write anything on the channel and they are waiting for me to make my first big move!
so I slapped in a piece of poetry that I had wrote a couple of days earlier.
"If i stay
Will you stay with me
Along the way
If i stay
Will you look at me
All day
No matter what, from Jul till may
We will laugh till the words fade to gray
Go through ups and lows
Till white flowers turn rose
When my eye runs into u
Give me a wink
Laugh and lighten up my life
When your cheeks turn pink
If i stay
Along the way
Will you hold my hand
With you i ain't shy
When I'm with you
I can try
If i stay
Will you stay"
