When the two had calmed down, especially Sherdan, he contemplated quietly.
Now that he think about it again, he felt like something was off. But before he can even dig into this gut feeling. Friedde had entered the room, just as he was about to sit, the teacher had also come.
Friedde glanced at Sherdan and snorted from irritation. This guy just ran off with a random dude! Leaving him all by himself!.
He sat on his usual seat, beside Sherdan, but he ignored him. He will never talk to this guy unless the other went down in his knees and apologize.
The Teacher started his lectures, and Sherdan listened to it despite the fact that he already knows this. He had developed a habit of listening to classes and not slacking off. It probably started when he had to study like crazy and also work. If he started slacking off at such a critical moment, he's afraid it will hinder him even more from being able to fully manage the company.
There were several relatives who had offered to 'help', but who knows which of them really thought of helping. In a time when Sherdan's authority over 'his' property is fragile, he can't blindly let others fiddle on the strings and be the manipulator. He had to guard it, or else, all his parent's hard work will end up in a bastard's hands.
Although there were really some relatives who really came to help. It was probably because they wanted to curry favor with him, so he would see them in a good light and return the favor once he had succeeded.
The kind of mindset he has is probably what keeps him from getting attached to those people who show him their 'kindness'. But this had also helped him avoid any deceit.
The class ended after an hour, the teacher had already left. Sherdan remained in his seat even though it was already time for recess, fiddling in his pen. Friedde was staring at him in his chair.
This guy never even glanced at him! It looks like he doesn't have any plans on apologizing. Friedde slammed his fist into his chair and went out while stomping his feet in frustration.
'Childish' Sherdan thought.
He can still feel 'emotions' for this guy. But with his 32-year-old self also present, there's no way these emotions will reign over his mind. Because of this, he's able to act like a cold-hearted 'scum'. Well, at least to that childish guy, he's probably the 'scum'.
He had to break up with him. But he doesn't even want to stare at him for a second, more so talk to him. But it's necessary, so he really should do it.
Sherdan subconsciously raised his hands, looking like he was about to smoke. But realizes that what he's holding is a pen, so he immediately put it down.
Damn habits.
Sean glanced at Sherdan and then to Martin, he was having a hard time deciding whether he should call for both of them to go to the cafeteria. If it's like the usual, he can still call them without any second thoughts, but the two of them just had fight.
Sherdan still acts weird, and Martin looks like he's still in the middle of throwing a tantrum. Arice saw him so conflicted and massaged his shoulders. He then smirked at him playfully.
He leaned on Sean and whispered.
"Let's just goo. Leave them be, hmm hmm?" He waggled his eyebrows. Urging Sean to agree.
Sean frowned and kicked him in the legs to keep a distance between them. Arice only laughed and folded his arms while his eyes pierced on Sean's back. Sean ignored him and went to Sherdan.
He'll at least invite both of them, if they refused then let them be, if they agreed then that's better.
"Sherdan, we'll go to the cafeteria. Are you coming?" He asked. Sherdan's hand stopped, and he glanced at Sean. He then smiled like usual.
"Yeah, I'll come."
Sean heaved a sigh of relief. At least he wasn't so mad that he wouldn't want to be with them for recess.
Now the only problem is whether Martin will come or not. He looked at Martin's place and found that the guy is already laughing with Arice. It seems he was already in a good mood.
Arice glanced at him in the middle of their conversation and then winked. Sean only rolled his eyes.
Flirt.
The four of them headed to the cafeteria. Although Sherdan and Martin were obviously ignoring each other, they weren't fighting either. In a way, this is actually better than seeing them at each other's throat.
When they arrived, Sherdan's eyes wandered. He saw Lucian seating in a table with a large crowd of students. They seemed to be having fun based on their loud conversations.
And like he felt someone staring at him, Lucian turned his head and his eyes met Sherdan's hazel one.
Ahh, he can hear 'doki doki' from his heart. Sherdan was truly so handsome.
He smiled at him awkwardly.
Sherdan also returned it back with a beautiful smile. Right at that moment, the sun illuminated his face, his eyes that was hazel became lighter and his face looked even more attractive. The scene looks very much like it came straight out of a Twilight movie.
Lucian was unable to look away. His friend who was seating near him saw this scene of Lucian shamelessly gawking at Sherdan, and she laughed. She nudged on Lucian and teased him.
"Woah, look at you gawking at Cohen so much. Tsk tsk, girls, you better mark Lucian as a rival now. I just caught him staring at Cohen!!" She yelled and laughed, making Lucian so embarrassed that he almost wanted to bury her in the floor.
Ah! This girl's mouth is sinful!.
"Shut it! I just appreciated the view okay?! As if you had never done it to Cohen yourself!" Lucian defended and also point out some facts. That made her laugh. Well, that's a given, okay?.
That guy was literally the hottest in the campus.
"Whatever, whatever." She chanted while covering her ears playfully. The other girls in the table looked at Lucian in a scrutinizing gaze. Lucian can only slump back and pretend that he doesn't know that they were glaring.
Don't target me, don't target me. You're all attracted to him too!.
Lucian sipped on his chocolate shake, feeling a little dejected.
Sherdan on the other hand ate with his friends. He finished first and then excused himself.
He wanted to smoke, and he also needed to call someone important.
The three of them nodded and continued eating. So Sherdan went out and ran towards the back of the campus, there's a route there that leads outside.
He had never done this 'things' in his past life, the only reason why he knows this place is because he once caught a student here when he was a Vice President. That student was about to cut classes.
Sherdan jumped on the school fence that was a lot lower than the other fences. He landed at the other side with a good posture.
He followed the way created by past students, and it brought him into a village. There's a concrete pavement that probably leads to the main town.
Fortunately, the moment he saw the village he also saw a small shop. So he bought a cigarette. Shops near schools prevents sellers from selling cigarettes because some underage students might buy it, but this shop was far from the school's surveillance, so the seller didn't mind him buying a pack of cigarettes.
He bought one that he was familiar with. He had never tried this brand before, but it was still better than nothing. He went back to the campus and hid behind one of the nearest buildings that weren't usually used by students or teachers.
He could smoke in the village, but there were no reception there, so he had to come back here.
He went to his contacts and pressed the call button on Head Assistant Lincoln's number. Brailey's father.
It took a few minutes before the other person answered the call.
"Young Master Cohen?" Head Assistant Lincoln sounds surprised. Well, how can he not be. Sherdan just called out of nowhere. He doesn't remember the Mr. and the Mrs. Cohen ordering him to do something related to Sherdan. Did the Young Master need something that requires his service?
"Yes, it's me. Head Assistant Lincoln." Sherdan said. He played with the cigarette pack in his hand.
The first thing he had to do is to gather information. Hacking through the company data are a thing, but he's not a hacker. He doesn't specialize on such things. And asking about it is way easier.
"Is there anything you need from me?" Head Assistant Lincoln asked.
Sherdan decided to not beat around the bush.
"I want some data and minutes regarding the current ongoing projects and planned projects. I don't want my parents to find out about it." He said.
Actually, he wasn't certain if things will go his way, after all despite being the son of the CEO, he wasn't an employee of the company.
The 32-year-old him knows this company rule very well, after all, he himself is extremely strict when it comes to confidential information. Once an employee 'talk too much", he will be instantly fired.
But he still has to try. There's no harm in trying after all.
This is a weird experience for him actually. Since he once owned this company, all information are naturally reported to him, but now he had to 'ask' for it himself.
Although he had a plan to make the Head Assistant agree if ever he refuses.
The Head Assistant was surprised that he was unable to give an answer. If he didn't know better, he would even think someone is impersonating the Young Master just to gather information.
In the end, he cleared his throat and gave a reply.
"That will be quite difficult to do. May I ask why the Young Master wants to obtain these data and also why he doesn't want to tell the Mr. and Mrs. about it?" It wasn't an impossible thing to do, but the fact that the Young Master doesn't want to tell his boss about it made it hard to do.
"Then, can we meet up? Can I know when you will be free? I wanted to discuss it in-person." Sherdan said.
The Head Assistant thought about it for a moment but eventually gave a date. Then, the both of them hanged up.
Sherdan stared at his phone for a minute as he internally organized his thoughts.
He pulled out a cigarette and a lighter. He needed to smoke, fast.
It's almost about time before the recess time ends.
While he was puffing some smoke, Friedde emerged and saw this very scene.
"What the hell are you doing?!" Friedde was befuddled.
Just when did this guy start smoking??
