Alex opened his eyes and found himself in a cell. He was sleeping on a hard metal bed with a big metal collar on his neck.
He put his hands on the collar and tried to rip it away but a high velocity current went through his body as soon as he tried it.
He didn't feel it much because Yujiro's resistances to these things but it left a bad taste in his mouth and it made him uncomfortable.
"Don't bother, if you force it. It will blow your head". A gloomy voice came from the other side of the cell.
The voice was feminine but devoid of hope. It sounded depressed and cracked in his ears.
Alex looked up and saw a girl about his age. Although it could be different because she wasn't exactly a human.
She had orange skin like a Tamaran with fiery red hair and green pupils. She resembled Komand'r by a large margin.
"And Who might you be?" Alex asked and looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
He was just minding his own business and she started speaking to him out of nowhere suddenly.
"I am Koriand'r. I was on my way in an attempt to escape my pursuers but found myself here". Koriand'r sighed and said with a long face.
"So that's why you haven't reached Sector 2814. You've been here all this time". Alex shook his head with a smile and found it funny.
He had been looking for her on Earth and just thought that she didn't want to appear in front of people for the time being. So she didn't show herself in public.
Never did he guess that she was actually captured on this ship.
"Huh huh, do you know me?" Koriand'r quickly distanced herself from Alex strangely and asked in a confused voice.
Her eyes were vigilant and her body was fully tense. If Alex did anything abrupt then she won't spare him.
"Yeah, I am how do you say this". Alex said in a puzzled manner while thinking about what to say.
"Oh yeah, the royal consort or something of your sister aka her Fiancé". Alex hit his palm with a fist like he had realised something.
Koriand'r mouth was hanging loose when she heard his words.
"Y-you are saying that my Tomboy sister already has a lover?" Koriand'r said it in such a disbelieving voice like the sun had come out of the west.
"You know, you are saying that out loud and I can tell that to Komand'r". Alex smiled and pointed it out for her.
Koriand'r quickly covered her mouth with her hands and looked at him sulking eyes.
"Sigh, what's the point? You are stuck here as well". Koriand'r sighed again but at least her voice wasn't gloomy anymore.
Maybe having someone that was like a relative made her much more relieved and less lonely. Plus she is pretty naive.
'Finally, I have someone to talk to'. Koriand'r cheered in her mind and thought about the pleasant things that she could do now.
"Let's change the ambience of the room, shall we?" Alex smiled gently and snapped his fingers.
The cell changed to a high class hotel room with soft couches and a big bed with some hot tea and snacks in front of the two people.
"W-what!" Koriand'r exclaimed in surprise and looked around the change in the scenery in a daze.
She was astonished by this display of power. It was a first for her to experience the whole room being changed with a snap of fingers.
"Don't worry, from outside it looks the same as always. Just the inside is totally different". Alex explained with a smile and made some tea for both of them with the ingredients.
"Oh". Koriand'r replied blankly with a sluggish expression and nodded her head.
"Here, try some". Alex said and pushed a cup of tea towards her.
Koriand'r picked up the cup and took a sip in a daze while touching her neck and looking around the room.
"B-but H-how". She said finally after taking a sip of the tea and regaining her senses.
"One of my powers". Alex shrugged nonchalantly and enjoyed his tea.
"One of you say". She said while looking at him with a twitching eye.
'I was worried for nothing'. She thought in her mind with embarrassment that she tried to dissuade him so much.
She looked deflated and just looked at the cup while lost in thoughts with taking occasional sips here and there.
Alex on the other hand had a natural smile on his face while enjoying his tea slowly. It was like he was on a vacation rather than being a captive.
"So tell me the situation on this ship". Alex put the cup on the small dish and asked while enjoying the cake on the side.
Koriand'r looked at him enjoying the cake so much but didn't eat it yet.
"This is like a colosseum of some kind of mad guy. He calls himself Mongul and makes people fight in different locations fo his and his kingdom's entertainment". Koriand'r started explaining everything grimly with a serious expression.
"He is very powerful and has a lot of weird things like plants under him that he uses to torture people sometimes". She continued with fear when she mentioned the weird plants.
'Haaa, these damn villains popping up one after the other'. Alex sighed when he heard her words.
'Fucking hell, a guy with the same strength as Superman. If I remember in the comics, he was at multiversal level in strength. Hope he is weaker than that'. Alex shook his head in dismay when he thought about it.
These guys are just too strong for him. Even before the Darkseid that he fought with was just a meagre projection or avatar for that matter.
These guys are easily Multiversal and he can only contend because of his Reality Manipulation.
At their peaks, they can square off against the mightiest of foes in the Multiverse. It is a surprise that the universe is still okay.
'Only because forces like Oa and others are there that these guys are keeping in check'. Alex thought and looked at Koriand'r with complicated eyes.
He was kind of lamenting at her bad luck and probably sensing his vision. Koriand'r flinched back a bit and her eyes dodged left and right awkwardly.
