Alex was currently looking at some people below him. He was standing on a building and looking at a smaller building that was being patrolled regularly.
This was the tenth base of League of assassins that he was going to destroy this month.
It has been more than two weeks since he had that huge orgy with the girls and he finally got back to taking out the League of Assassins.
The slow grind of taking out bases was feeling really good to him and he liked getting on Ra's Al Ghul's nerves.
Alex was now looking and mapping out the patrol route of the base. He couldn't take it out in one fell swoop because of the density of other buildings around.
'Time to start'. He thought and dived down.
Silently landing on the rook of the building like a cat. He looked at the Assassin walking in front of hims
He walked up silently and broke the guy's neck before he could even make a squeak out of his mouth.
Then he hid behind a corner with the body of the Assassin already stored in Avalon.
He waited and another came close to this patrol route. The Assassin looked suspicious because the other assassin didn't come to this spot on time.
Their patrol routes intersected with each other and they would surely meet at this spot at a set time.
Alex didn't give him the time to respond and took him out before he could take any action.
'Two gone, fifty to go'. Alex said while listening to the heartbeats in the base.
He had scanned the whole base with his hearing and knew how many people were in there and there was a dispute going on as well.
Alex took this chance and quickly cleaned up the whole base. He killed any Assassin that he found.
He spared no one after taking out the Assassins all over the base. He walked into the main room.
There was a young girl inside. Probably in her teenage years around 15-16 years of age with dead eyes.
And a middle aged man with a mask was standing next to her and looking at an assassin killed by the girl with indifferent eyes.
From the heartbeat, Alex could feel that the girl was unwilling in this but she had no choice. Her heartbeat was frantic like someone who hadn't killed for the first time but was totally unwilling.
It was a strange mixture but Alex had picked up all the clues that he needed to pick up from it.
"You know, you shouldn't teach people this kind of stuff". Alex said in a light tone from behind his jester mask.
David Cain, the supposed father of Cassandra Cain didn't care to waste words and immediately took action as soon as he heard Alex's words.
But his actions were in vain. Alex subdued him quickly without even wasting a moment of time.
A world class assassin was easy to subdue as a hapless child in front of him.
"So Mate, do you have anything to confess?" Alex asked with a happy voice while stepping on his head.
He was looking at the girl. Who was just silently looking at all of this happening with a gleam of hope flashing in her otherwise dead eyes.
She could read people's intentions by their body language. This was a special ability that only she and her mother had.
They could just instinctively see through all this with absolute ease.
"You won't get away with this". David spoke viciously when he felt Alex stepping on his head.
"So miss, is he your guardian?" Alex asked and looked over to Cassandra even though he knew the answer.
Cassandra just kept looking at him for a while and didn't answer. Soon she slowly shook her head.
"Good". Alex nodded his head and pushed David's head further inside the floor.
"You wanted to make an assassin that was perfect and listened to your whims right?" Alex kept laughing while stomping his head and mocking him.
"You even had the gal to collude with League of Assassins. For that, you get Death". Alex said for the last time and immediately exited the room to not show Cassandra what he would do next.
He went out of the room and brutally separated David's head from his spine amidst his screams.
After disposing the corpse into Avalon. Alex again entered like nothing ever happened.
"So miss, what would you like to do now?" Alex asked while making a chair for both of them.
Cassandra sat down and just stared at him without speaking. There was some life back in her dead eyes.
She looked much better than before like a huge crisis had passed from her head.
"We aren't gonna know anything like this if you only stare at me". He said while sighing at her.
"Oh so you can't speak but your vocal cords are completely fine". Alex said with a puzzled voice.
'Of course she can't speak. That twat never let her know how to. It's a miracle she is still sane'. Alex thought in his head. He knew everything about her but he had to act the part.
"You for sure don't have any other Guardian and I doubt you can fit into an orphanage with your circumstances". Alex said while looking at her.
"Guess, we can only do this huh". He said and sighed again.
"Okay get up. We need to go". Alex said and stood up from his chair.
Cassandra followed suit and immediately stood up like an obedient little secretary.
"Let's get you some clothes first". He said and immediately led the way by jumping on rooftops.
Cassandra followed closely behind because he was controlling his speed for her.
They soon reached a clothing store run by some shady people but the products were genuine.
Just that to take the products away. You have to have the capital.
Alex bought the clothes and immediately started to make his way back to the Wayne Manor.
Cassandra followed behind him without asking any questions or even doubting anything.
She had confidence in her skills and she could read his intentions clearly. So she didn't hesitate.
