The Mansion was quiet. It was a bit too quiet for good measure. There wasn't even a insect sound in the surroundings.
Alex could heard fighting sounds in the mansion and his face immediately turned hideous.
His family is his reverse scale and no one messes with his family and get away with it scot free.
He upped his speed and rushed straight into the mansion. He saw what was going on in front of him.
Martha, Thomas, Alfred and Hancock were fighting multiple assailants in black combat suits.
They were wiping the floor with them and their fists were causing bones to break and shatter every time.
'Guess me training them wasn't in vain'. He thought smugly and also joined in the fun.
Cassandra wasn't behind and also joined in eliminating all the assassins in the mansion.
Quickly, all the assassins were cleaned up and not a single assassin was left in the mansion.
None of them were killed right now but Alex will take care of that later.
For now, he hd to find out some critical Intel from their mouths. Whether they like it or not.
"Good job defending yourselves". Alex praised them after sorting everything out.
"Glad that you actually trained us". Thomas said and laughed boisterously.
"Yeah". Martha and Alfred also nodded their heads.
Dear, who's this?" Hancock smiled and pointed at the girl behind Alex.
"Same as you. Found her being kind of tortured by a guy that deserved worse than what I gave him". Alex said with an angry face and stroked Cassandra's hair in a soothing way.
"Oh poor girl". Martha sighed and gave Cassandra a hug.
"Don't worry mom. She will live with us. Dad can sort out the paper work". Alex smiled and assured Martha.
"You have to teach her how to speak. The abominable guy didn't let her speak". Alex said and again patted Cassandra's head.
"Don't worry, you can live here safely". Martha took Cassandra's hand and said to her reassuringly.
Everyone also smiled at her welcomingly and tried to make her feel relieved and at home.
Cassandra didn't dodge Martha's hand either because she could tell her intentions but she was still standing close to Alex vigilantly.
"Ok no need to be on guard. Let's have something to eat then you can go and rest". Alex said while clapping his hands and led the way to the dining room.
Cassandra just followed behind him and quickly came to the dining table full of fragrant dishes.
Alex led her to a separate room after dinner and went on his way out of the mansion.
'Now to uncover you secret'. Alex thought and entered Avalon.
"I know your secret, I know your secret. Your dirty little secret". All of them were awake but couldn't move their bodies.
Alex came in while skipping like a child and sang in a heavy and grim voice behind his jester mask.
"By the time I finish with you. You guys will be tweeting like birds". Alex said in a light tone that would send shiver down your spine.
The Assassins looked at him blankly like they couldn't hear his words.
Alex didn't make any nonsense with them and immediately started the torture.
Death with a thousand cuts, thousand pins inserted all over the body and embedded deep into the flesh.
All kinds of perverse methods of torture and Alex did them like nothing.
His Hanma blood was protecting his psychology while he was going rampant on the assassins.
After a while, they couldn't hold and started tweeting like little birds in a cage.
'So they finally couldn't hold on and made another move huh'. Alex thought to himself while his aura started to flare around him and a massive grin was plastered behind the mask.
'Oh Court of Owls, this time you have done it. I wanted to deal with you after dealing with the league of Assassins but I guess you can't wait huh'. Alex thought while killing and cleaning up all the assassins on the scene.
'Your death date will be soon now'. Alex thought with a dangerous gleam in his eyes and exited Avalon.
It was already daytime by the time he came out of Avalon. He had tortured those Assassins for a whole night.
——When Thomas came to the Wayne Enterprise again——
"Sir, we have report that Thomas Wayne and Martha Wayne have returned". A member quickly reported with a startle and he sounded quite hurried.
"What!" The leader stood up from his seat in shock.
"Are you sure?" He asked while looking at the member.
"This has already appeared in news". The member said and showed him a newspaper.
"I have been busy and haven't had time to check news". The leader said and took the newspaper to check.
"Those damn liars!" Anger boiled inside him the more he read the newspaper.
"Sir, The League of Assassins have cheated on their deal". Another member stood up and said indignantly.
"No, they didn't cheat. I still remember that day people said that there was an intense flash of light right at the time of the attack.
This could be what saved them that day and it could also be a chance for us to get immortality if it can save those two from the verge of death.
The League of Assassins isn't that incompetent that they cannot even take out two normal people. It must be that light which saved them. We need to get them alive and get the secret out of them". The Leader said passionately with greed burning in his eyes.
The rest of the members heard the leader's analogy and quickly understood it. Their eyes also flashed brilliantly with this discovery.

"Now, we have to wait for the chance and send our own people for the task". The Leader said and looked at everyone eagerly.
