"What!" Martha was astonished and subconsciously stood up from the couch.
"Here, this is Bruce's kid, Damian". Alex said and showed them the sleeping Damian on his back.
He wasn't speaking loudly but his voice travelling to their ears very clearly and he was also masking Damian's ears with his power to not wake him up accidentally.
Soon, Martha came to her senses and looked at Damian with complicated eyes and didn't know how to handle this child of hers.
Bruce was getting more and more secretive by the day and she really wanted to have a good talk with this guy about how to treat your own family.
And just in time, Bruce came back as well. It's not that he was on time but Alex times it so that he will appear just in time.
"What do you have to say? Are we really untrustworthy in your eyes?" Martha sighed and looked into Bruce's eyes.
"Mom". Bruce didn't know what to say at the spot when asked a question like this.
"That's not the case mom". He shook his denied and denied the accusation.
"Then why didn't you tell us?" Martha asked calmly. She was just upset and was oddly calm right now.
"His mom didn't want him to he known to anyone else and I was helpless". Bruce sighed and shook his head.
Hearing this, Martha's heart softened and even Alex didn't add fuel to the fire this time. Just let them resolve this between the mother and son.
"It's good that our Grandson is here. So ask the chefs to make a grand feast". Thomas was too happy and couldn't wait to hold Damian in his arms.
"Here you go". Alex smiled and the sleeping Damian appeared in Thomas' arms automatically.
Thomas paused and held the sleeping Damian gently in his arms and looked at the identical and cute face lovingly.
"Who knew that this day will also come?" Thomas had some tears in his ryes when he looked at the face of his own grandson.
"I thought I was dead when those guys attacked us and never thought that we would be able to see our own grandson". Thomas continued emotionally and rubbed the tears with his sleeves.
"Honey". Martha couldn't help showing tears as well and put her head on Thomas' shoulder in support.
You know how much a man feels the sadness and happiness when he lets off tears like this in front of others.
Men are taught from very young that men don't cry and you have to be strong. It becomes written in their bones and it becomes hard to shed tears in front of others or show weakness.
Because showing your emotions is considered weak and no man wants to be weak in front of their loved ones because they are their pillars even if the sky falls down. They are there to shoulder it for you.
A Father, A brother and a Husband are essential in any family like Mothers, Sisters and Wives. There is nothing good without each other.
A woman makes the house a Home and a man makes that Home run through all difficulties and a child makes that home warm.
That line maybe a bit blurred in society these days but it still remains in some families.
"Dad". Bruce and Alex called softly and joined the hug as well. They were also very emotional when they heard Thomas' words.
"Master, Madam, Young Masters". Afred also wiped the tears from his eyes when he saw this. He has spent half his life with them and he was also sad and happy.
Alex saw Alfred's mood and pulled him into the hug as well without giving him room for resistance at all.
Cassandra couldn't hold back and also joined the hug. Poor Damian woke up cluelessly in a bone crushing hug of super humans.
It was fortunate that Alex used his power to shield the little guy or he will become meat paste after getting squeezed between them.
"Father". Damian looked at Bruce solemnly and spoke seriously.
"No need to be stiff kid". Bruce smiled and rubbed Damian's head.
Damian was a bit astonished with Bruce's smile and couldn't wrap his head around it for a while. His father has always been serious and this is the first he saw a smile on Bruce's face.
"Mhmm". Damian could only nod his head in a daze and then looked at the new faces around him except Alex and Cassandra because they were not new.
"So kid, you had your fun in the Amusement park. No go get some sleep". Alex picked Damian up from the back of his T-shirt and lifted him to his room.
"Be gentle". Martha struck Alex's hand to chide him and gently hugged Damian in her arms before going towards her own room.
She is going to sleep with her grandson today. Even Bruce cannot stop this and only motioned for Thomas to go as well.
Thomas smiled and took his leave to go back to the room as well. He was also very enthusiastic to sleep with his own grandson for once.
"So when is Talia joining the family?" Alex finally saw them get busy and elbowed Bruce's waist.
"She still has unfinished business that she needs to complete". Bruce's face turned solemn and he replied.
"Why don't you join her then". Alex turned to look at him and asked.
"I don't kill and Gotham needs me". Bruce shook his head and headed towards his own room.
Today's the tenth day that he hasn't slept at all and he needs some well deserved sleep. Being Batman is really and he has to always be on the run.
It is only because of his connection with Avalon that he is still going or with the amount of stimulants that he takes. His body would've collapsed long ago.
"Let's go to sleep as well". Alex hooked Cassandra's waist and started walking to his room.
Hancock was not in the mansion today. She was having some fun girls' time with Selena and Pamela in their new club that they opened.
"Our guest is awake". Alex suddenly said when he was about to reach his room.
