The next morning, before the sun was even up, Reina had awoken which pissed her off endlessly.
'Why do I have to wake up so early!?' She growled in her heart but could not let out a single whisper.
The reason for her early awakening and her being unable to speak out loud even in the safe confines of her room was the existence of one person.
King Zander Chadwin Rudwick.
The man who Rein served and for whom she had to wake up earlier in order to prepare everything in advance.
Also, the reason why she could not speak as words blurted out in her currently frustrated state might invoke suspicion about her secret in the King's mind.
'Stupid Rein! Why did you have to choose to serve this man?' She grumbled while climbing out of bed.
Yesterday, she had been asleep till the sun was up which had delayed the King for morning court with his followers.
However, when he had noticed that his servant had been a victim of poisoning, instead of hurrying to court, he taught the culprits a lesson before he could head to work.
The thought of what he had done softened Reina's grumpy mood as she decided to do a better job at serving the man.
'Well, at least till I can figure out Rein's purpose of staying here under the guise of a man.' She nodded her head while picking up a towel before heading into the bathroom.
Yesterday, she was in shock of her sudden transmigration and had not taken her time in the shower.
However, as she was ahead of schedule and the King might not have woken up, she chose to indulge herself.
Relaxing in the bathtub, she tried to recall all the duties that Rein was supposed to fulfill for her position as the King's Chamberlain.
Her eyes rolled at what she was remembering through her memories.
'This King is more pampered than I was.' She shook her head in dismay at his lazy living habits.
Even Rozella would often chide her for being too lazy but who could possibly dare to do that to the vicious King of Valanthur?
Therefore, Reina had no option but to suck it up and complete all her tasks to the best of her abilities.
Hopping out of the bathtub, she dried and applied lotion, something which she was unable to do yesterday.
'Do vampires age?' She wondered as doing skincare was one of the only normal things she used to follow religiously in her old world.
Since she knew that she was a vampire, does that mean she would not have to care about her skin as they never age?
These thoughts, she did not have an answer to but for the time being, she decided to follow what she was used to doing all along.
Walking naked out of the bathroom, Reina picked up her innerwear and was glad that Rein at least bought female innerwear.
'I would die of shame if I had to wear men's briefs.' She shuddered as her ears turned bright red.
Her pale complexion looked better with a little color gracing her face.
Standing before the mirror, dressed in her uniform she tied up her long silver tresses into a bun that rested on the top of her head.
To ensure that it would stay in place all day, Reina had to struggle a few times before she could get it right.
Giving herself a look over, she was pleased with her appearance.
Her uniform was tidy and crisp and her hair was secured in place which made her face look androgynous and manly.
The man bun she had attempted gave her the air of a confident and willful young man which was a stark contrast to how Rein Melk used to look before.
'This is me now.' She shrugged as she was going to dress how she felt looked better for her.
Having completed her work here, she headed out of the room using the main entrance that led to the corridor as she now had to begin her first task of the day.
Since she had already left the room, Reina failed to catch sight of the light that flashed across the mirror where she had been admiring her appearance just earlier.

In a whole different location, a woman's eyes opened wide and her lips curved into a jubilant smile.
Snapping her fingers she disappeared from this room and emerged into another one.
Her body appeared before a group of men who were discussing something critical as the entire room was shrouded with a solemn mood.
"Sire, I sensed her presence!" She yelled out, disregarding the narrowed eyes aimed at her for her disrespectful intrusion.
The man at the head of the table leered at her and after observing that she was speaking the truth, clenched the armrest of his seat.
"Find her and bring her back at all costs!" He roared in dominion which made the men around him kneel before him in the next instant.
The woman bowed as her work here was done and with another snap of her finger, she disappeared just as quickly as she had appeared.

Back at the Royal Palace of Valanthur, King Zander's eyes fluttered open when the sun's rays entered his room.
Following his usual routine, he turned to his left and stretched out his hand.
However, he stopped midway after recalling something crucial.
'He must be resting after the poisoning.' Zander sighed as the first thing he did each day was once again going to be left unfulfilled today as well.
"Good morning, Your Majesty." The voice woke him up from his thoughts as he looked towards the source of the same voice.
The man who was supposed to be resting in bed to recover after the poisoning was now seen walking into his room from the side door where their rooms were connected.
The glass of water in his hand was the thing that King Zander first noticed.
This glass of water each morning was a ritual that he had been following ever since Rein began serving him.
Vampires were creatures of habit, especially someone who had lived a long life like him.
Yesterday, he was unable to follow this ritual due to those unfortunate circumstances and he was expecting the same to happen today as well.
Much to his surprise, his servant had come over with the water that he expected to receive each morning while he was still in bed.
When Reina entered the room, she noticed that the King's hand was outstretched before he retracted it.
The disoriented look on his face coupled with the fact that she had a soft corner for that face which resembled her Meteor Sama, she could not help but ogle at him for a quick second.
However, she came back to her senses soon and greeted him to make her presence known.
According to the memories she had seen, Rein's first duty of the day was to fetch the King a glass of water.
'If only it was that simple.' She scoffed inwardly but on the outside, she had a poker face while handing the glass to the King.
The cause of her dissatisfaction was the source from where Reina had to fetch this glass of water.
While the water in the glass might seem ordinary, it was nothing but ordinary.
'Who would have thought that I would unlock this memory and bring myself more pain?' She pursed her lips as the mystery behind the water was what she had recalled during her relaxing bath this morning.
