Now that Reina had figured out that she was a vampire, she could understand how she had managed to move at such an inhumane speed.
'Because I'm not human anymore!' She sneered at this new brain that was too slow at picking up clues.
She also realized that every one of her sensory organs was working in overdrive, making her experience life in 4K UHD which she had only experienced during her online screen time.
Her body was faster, her ears were sharper, her eyesight was perfect and she was sure that as a vampire, she could also see in pitch darkness.
'I will have to test that out later though.' She nodded as she rose from the bed which had supported her body earlier when she felt dizzy with the new information she had finally grasped.
While she was assessing her situation, the footsteps coming from the next door stopped and she only heard the sound of rustling clothes for the next few seconds.
'Meteor Sama's look-alike must be wearing those clothes I set out on the bed.' She surmised and the desire to sneak a peek was high but the desire to live was way higher.
Thus, she mentally slapped herself for even entertaining such a dreadful thought and shook her head, wiping away that sultry image that was bubbling up in her mind.
The man she had met today was not her sweet and caring Meteor Sama.
No, he was the cunning and cruel King Zander who could make her head roll with just a word.
'He won't even spare a word for me.' She gulped in fear that she'd die with just a snap of his fingers.
Therefore, she decided to control her wicked mind to make sure that she did not utter or do anything unacceptable in his presence lest she gained his ire.
'Is it not enough that I have to pretend to be a guy, I have to do it while being tempted by that exceedingly beautiful face of the evil King!?' She lamented her fate of being his close servant.
Standing before the mirror, she gazed at her face and tilted her head.
She could still remember how a simple step of tying up her hair had brought all the difference in the world.
Thus, to test out a theory, she raised her hand and untied the ribbon that had been holding her hair in place.
As her hair cascaded down her shoulders and reached her butt, Reina noticed how in that split second, her face had transformed from being androgynous to oozing womanly charm.
Staring wide-eyed at this change, she held her hair up once again and tied the ribbon loosely around her strands.
'Back to square one…' She remarked how this simple step was changing the way she appeared.
In a daze, Reina repeated the same step numerous times and witnessed how each time, her face changed from being womanly to androgynous and vice versa.
'Hair tied up gives a manly look and left loose gives a sexy womanly look.' She concluded the outcome of her silly experiment.
Now that she had figured out how her face changed with her hairstyle, there was still another matter that she had yet to decipher.
'So how the heck did Rein manage to fool everyone into believing that she was a man?' She wondered what magic her predecessor had cast that they had never doubted her gender.
Reina glanced at her full breasts in the mirror and cupped them, recalling how the King had called her a man even when these were in plain sight.
"Rein!"
A shout, summoning her, snapped her out of her thoughts and she moved her hands off her breasts at lightning speed.
However, she sighed when she realized that she had locked the door beforehand.
Taking one last look at the mirror, she nodded at her androgynous face before adjusting her uniform and headed in the direction of the voice.
'I'll think of this matter once I'm free from this evil imposter.' She grumbled while peeping at her breasts before knocking on the door to enter the room where she would find the man who had summoned her.
___
Upon entering the King's room, Reina's eyes fell on the glorious figure of the man who stood before a mirror.
Her feet stepped in his direction and her body moved on instinct as though it was following its memory.
'Habitual behavior.' Reina concluded as this was subconscious for people who repeated an action every single day of their life.
Her feet halted next to the King who promptly raised his right hand towards her.
With ease, Reina cuffed the sleeves of his loose white shirt before she did the same for his other hand.
The King stood in place as he watched his servant repeat the same things he did each day.
Reina then walked back to the bed and picked up his black long coat following which she helped him put it on.
King Zander buttoned it up and nodded, pleased with the attire that Rein had set aside for him today.
Shooting a brief glance at the shorter man, the King turned away.
"Follow me." He commanded and began walking in the direction of the main door.
Reina froze in place once her body had followed its instincts and completed this task but now she frowned as according to her memories, the King should have sent her away once she was done.
However, this had not happened.
On the other hand, King Zander frowned when he caught sight of his servant standing rooted in the same place as before.
"I do not like repeating my orders, Melk." He enunciated in a low voice which woke her up.
Under his stern gaze, Reina lowered her head and walked up to him, obeying his orders.
The King then turned around and stepped out of the largest door in the room which led towards the corridor outside.
As Reina stepped after him, her curious eyes slyly scanned her surroundings.
She could not behave as though she was seeing this for the first time as that might provoke suspicions onto her.
Therefore, she was smart and only made it appear like she was glancing around but in actuality, she was taking in the view of everything around her.
Large corridors they walked through had intricate designs painted on their walls.
Though the corridors were deserted, Reina's senses told her that there were eyes watching her every move.
This made her straighten her back as she remained vigilant in order not to expose her secret to whoever it was that might be watching her.
King Zander felt how his servant had suddenly grown a backbone out of nowhere and was walking with his back straight and chin raised high instead of his usual timid and introverted behavior.
Nevertheless, he was pleased to see this change as this was what he wished to observe from his servant.
As they stepped ahead, they took numerous turns and finally reached the end of the passage where a large golden door was located.
'Sugoi!' Reina exclaimed in her heart, marveling at how bright the door shone, proving that it was made entirely of gold.
The doors were pushed open and the regal King stepped inside with his head held high.
Everyone inside the room they had just entered rose to show respect to the King.
However, they were surprised to catch sight of the person who was following after him with an awestruck look on his face.
King Zander's eyes scanned the room and his actions were similar to that of the servant following him today.
Reina, who was standing two feet behind the King, was right now taking in the view of the room.
Judging from the long table at the center and the people standing around it, she had guessed that this was a dining room of sorts.
Her eyes then fell on the people present here only to discover that four women and a man were looking right at her.
While most looked at her with surprise, there were a few who gawked at her as though they had seen a ghost.
'Is something the matter with my face?' Reina was eager to pat her face to feel around if something was amiss but controlled her desires after recalling that she was in the presence of the King.
Though she was stuck in her troubling thoughts, she soon realized that someone was looking right at her.
Standing by the main seat of the table, a beauty with bright pink hair was staring at Reina with her sultry blue eyes narrowed dangerously.
The woman standing behind her, based on her uniform, was a maid, also had her eyes wide open while she gawked at the man standing behind their King.
However, she lowered her head soon after realizing that her expressions were giving away her thoughts and emotions.
Right about now, there was only one thought running through the maid's mind and that was…
'How is he still alive!?' She gritted her teeth and clenched her fists while glimpsing at her Madame who seemed to be equally upset but had done a better job at masking her emotions.
