Beautiful?
Few people commented on Nina's looks.
At the very least, her adoptive father had never commented on it, and it was even more so for the people around her in the past.
Nina found this comment refreshing.
"Thank you."
"Where are you from?" Beth wanted to know more about her roommate.
"Hommes," replied Nina.
Beth laughed. "I've heard about Hommes! I heard it's a particularly rich and beautiful town and that your green lake is stunning. Is that true?"
Nina shrugged. "Actually, I only arrived at Hommes two days ago. My mother and stepfather live there."
Beth was confused. "So, where did you live before?"
Nina gathered her belongings. "A small place in Maine. You might not have heard of it. I'm going to collect the blankets and everything. Do you know where it is?"
Beth nodded quickly. "I'll go with you."
"Thanks," said Nina.
