As we wait for the eastern gates to open, we are sent off with cheers and support of the city. Wishing for a safe journey. Reassuring that I'll be a great queen. Waiting for my return. I hear the residents' words, and, to be honest, it warms my heart. These people have trust in my abilities and are supporting me wholeheartedly, and that's all a city leader could ask for.
Once the gates have fully opened, and Noel steps on the gas; I close my eyes and slowly retract the harsh winter that blows in front of us. After a few seconds, the faded green grass that sleeps under the snow reveals itself as the snow clouds disappear allowing the sun to shine past the gates.
"What a grand way to leave the city," Michael comments, nudging my arm.
"Had to leave a lasting impression," I joke after opening my eyes. "Let's go."
