It didn't take as long as it did yesterday, but it was way more painful. The invisible gaping hole in my left leg cinched together as if new muscle fibers were growing back. The phantom needles sting like hundreds of bees made their colony in my left arm. I would rather have my arm broken again than to feel what I'm going through this time.
"Does that feel any better, Viola?" Michael asks after finishing his part.
"Yeah, it feels fine now," I answer, looking down at my uncovered leg. "You wouldn't believe the matches I had this morning."
"First, the Lady should eat before she goes into what happened today," Edward intervenes as he brings in a cart of food for me. "You were fast asleep during lunch, so you didn't have a chance to eat. None of the maids wanted to wake you up as it might aggravate your pain."
