Damon POV
I was amazed by her concern. She looked beautiful in that expression too. I had always seen her as an angry woman craving for her freedom years back and after that when I met her, though I granted her the freedom, she still was angry with me. Today she looked cute, concerned and hardworking. She took the bunch of her long hairs and tied them around her palm and stuck them on her head. She dahed into my library where I had kept all the ancient books and informative knowledge of my past. I allowed no one to enter in there but Eva didn't turn her head to look at me ven once seeking my permission today. She was dominating and was impressive.
I followed her to the library and saw her sitting on my chair holding a two hundred year old spell book. She was focused and I can feel it that she was doing it all out of concern. After our souls collided, I could feel what she feels but today the feeling was different. She was scared and resolute. I walked into the room to release her burden and handed her the right book. The book written by David himself thousand years ago on dark magic have everthing.
Slowly as she went through the book, I could feel myself chocking. I could hear her heartbeat, her heart pumping her blood through her veins. My head was hurting and yes I was hungry again but I will not hurt Eva and will kill that bitch once I recover. I saw Eva to divert my mind from the unending quench for blood. She had a beautiful face, with her serious eyes stuck over the book. The wind that blew in through the window made the leftover hair strands fly in air. I could hear her breath and smell her. She was a metaphor of the extreme perfection. As she turned the page of her book she swung her tongue out licking her dry lips and made them wet. A bit of her cleavage was visible and I saw the black mole right in between the cleavage of which I was mad about.
I smiled and she suddenly looked up. Her beautiful black consuming eyes locked mine. A smile so pretty that angels in heaven would rain roses over her appeared on her face. She was happy, I could feel it.
"I found the spell", She said
Eva closed the book and walked past me. Her fragrance reached my nostrils boiling my blood by a degree. I followed her to the roof. She sat down placing the book in between and took an empty bowl. She cut her palm with the knife and ddropped her blood in the bowl. Then she asked me to do the same. We waited for her wound to heal for about a minute and then she looked at the clouds and closed her eyes getting distressed. She was now tensed and afraid. This is going to be a hard spell, I knew it before itself.
She ran her hands in the bowl of blood and then on the book murmuring her spell. The strong winds blew against me and her hairs opened. Her hairs flew in air being all straight waving with the wind. The dried leaves hit my cheeks hard and as I turned I saw a grey windy, leafy tornado shaping up. Eva was bearing everything with her eyes closed and her hairs gave the intensity of the wind. The blood from her nostrils emerged and now I realized that she was using all her power.
"Eve stop", I said and moved a foot to walk to her but she suddenly yelled,
"don,t move... we are close"
Her voice turned louder enough for the sky to hear through the fierce winds. It was already an hour and I looked at my legs going stiff and grey. I was turning into a a stone statue again and I need blood. My veins were bursting and I came on my knees watching Eva go through the pain. I was unable to move so I screamed again,
"stop it Eva"
However she didn't respond. Through the statued legs I gave my body a jump towards Eva but as I went in air, I was pulled back by the fierce winds running against me. I breathed hard as I was chocking. I want to save Eva. I then saw her collapse. Blood was still on her nostrils reaching her lips. Tears in her closed eyes as she fell down. I am such a selfish man, i let her work to save me. I cursed myself as i felt useless. There was no need of her to save me still she did. I am a rotten piece from thousand years and I don't deserve to live. I am a abomination to Eva, to this earth. I felt like a trash and i wanted Eva to kick me out.
My desiccated body started recovering. I was no more hungry and yes, Eva used all her strength to save me. The moment I became free to move, I ran towards Eva and checked her pulse. She was unconscious and not dead. I sighed as I noticed my tear fall
I picked her up in my arm and took her to our room. I gently placed her on the bed and loosened her tightly held hairs. I realized that a tear from my eye fell on her cheek. I have survived a thousand years, fought thousands of battles and still she is the one for whom i laid my tears after these thousand years. I wiped my tear of her cheek and sat against her.
"you know she cant be killed right?", the robot appeared near me.
Who would say that this machine of iron and steel will remind me the most specific thing now which is beyond the image of their inbuilt brain? Machines are used to calculate and deal with science, a Phoenix is not its subject but still his words were comforting.
"prepare everything she loves, I want her to be happy", I told him.
The machine turned its head and walked out of the room. I now want Eva to b happy and I will do everything for her happiness. Happiness? I saw her happily appearing in the woods. I thought that she was cloaked but she wasn't aware of Lavender's presence then whom was she hiding for? Or is she hiding someone herself who can give her such a bright smile. Yes Eva was hiding something which made her happy. Now i will protect her happiness. Even if he is Max still alive then i will protect him because Eva will be happy with him. I don't deserve her but I won't let this smile faint at any cost.
I thus sat in my car and drove to the woods.....
