Katara is now inside of the Academy's Library, she's scanning every book in the shelves to find books that could help her. She needs some research, of course you can't be in war without any plan or strategy. It will be like you're baiting yourself in the group of wolves inside of their territory, this world is different. People here are not normal, she needs to know their strengths and weaknesses. How they're body works with the power inside of them, and how they use their magic. She needs to know what techniques she could use to fight them, she's just a normal person. She doesn't have any power, but she will prove to everyone that she can perfectly manage herself.
That being normal isn't what they should be ashamed of, being normal can be more powerful.
She touches the books using the tip of her fingers, she feels the letters. Good thing she studied what scripts they're using here, she could now read books without any problems. She stops from roaming the shelves when she reads something interesting, she immediately takes that book.
It's about human anatomy, she opened it. As expected, humans from here and from her previous life are not that different. There are some changes, but most of all are identical. She even sees some parts that seem still a mystery to them, she smirks and then pulls her pen out and starts to write something on the book. With explanations, she saw two types of body anatomy in the book. One is for normal and the other one if the one who could use elemental powers.
From what she read, people could use powers called Elementias and the normal one is Ordirios. The difference to the body of them is, Elementias has it's called an Elements Core in their body. They were born with this kind of core that could carry or store their power within their body as they grow up and learn from controlling their powers.
They're element power depends on what core they have, they can foresee what core they have by traveling to your unconscious self. Most people who have elemental power discovered their core power in the age of 5 years old above. The core eats it's host energy and restores it to the core to make the core visible, so it means at the age of five years old the person core already saves enough energy to make itself visible and notice it's existence.
But there's a dark side of their power, once the core is out of energy it could cost its owners death. Core could take so much energy, that's why at the age of five they should start training and gain some more energy and become strong to balance their power.
By the year of being fifteen years old above, if you exist in that age it means you already survive that tribal thing that may take your life. Your core is also more visible because of the life energy you save or restore. That's why it would be easy to recognize the core or someone's element by just blood.
There are also some veins from elementias that a normal person doesn't have, and that veins connect to the core in the body. Veins that store and save energy, veins from the core that connect also to every part of the body.
Katara didn't realize she's standing beside the shelves for more then ten minutes, so she decided to roam the shelves more and took some books before taking a seat. She took almost twenty books, even though she doesn't have any power she needs to know what kind of powers the Elementias can produce.
She also wants to know what kind of weapon this world has, and what is the most powerful one.
Katara read the book about weapons and she found something interesting.
"Hundreds of Years ago there was a man named Adal, a wise craftsman. He was known for his crafts and inventions, but when the war broke out from the empire of Feronia. Weapons are needed, so he decided to make weapons for ten executive royal warriors of the empire. Warrior believes that because of his craft the Feronia Empire won the war, the king believes in these miracles and decides to command Adal to use his hands to make more weapons so that they could defeat all the enemies.
Adal refused, and then he vanished to the Empire after he was being sentenced as committing a treason. And the seven weapons vanished with him and the remaining three in the empire because it already found its owner at that time, they believe he scattered the weapon to different places in continents and finds a suitable successor and let them use it. For years the weapons choose its owner and no one can use it except the strongest one who deserves its power. "
Katara can't help but to get curious about what kind of power that the weapon has, which is also in the book that is written. One thing that makes it special is because anyone can use it, it doesn't matter if you are elemntiasntias or ordirios.
Katara didn't realize the time had passed too quickly. It's already five pm, and the sun is slowly setting down. The library at this academy is on the third floor and she's seated at the window side. That's why she can clearly see the breathtaking sunset, the blue sky turning into an orange and pink color one. It's a perfect combination, it's mesmerizing. Katara stretched her arm and her neck because she felt numb after reading books for so long. She stood up and put her hand on her waist and started bending and reaching her feet, damn! She really needs to train this body, she needs to increase her stamina.
She jumped in jack for ten times before holding the table as she bent again and then slowly twisted her upper body to the left side, she heard a loud crack of her bone. Damn! It's satisfying, she thinks the library is empty now except for her of course.
"What are you doing?" She was about to twist her body to the right side when she heard the deep voice from her back, she looked at him while still bending and she saw the crown prince not looking in her direction and trying to avert his eyes from the sight. She continued to twist her body and she heard the crack of her bone again, to her surprise in the blink of an eye the crown prince was already at her back and his arm in a circle around her waist holding her gently. As he holds her she feels she's safe and secured, she never felt this before. She never felt so safe in a man of arms before.
"Are you alright? Are you hurt or something? Tell me?" He asks continuously as he analyzes her body as if her bone went out from inside. She decided to tease him for a little bit.
"N-No, I think my bones got dislocated." She said with the tone like she's in real pain, best actress awards goes to huh? Katara's eyes widened and she yelled because of surprise when suddenly the crown prince carried her bridal style.
"I'll send you to the Academy infirmary, and I will call a Royal doctor if I have to."
He hurried, he was about to leave the library but Katara held the massive shelves to stop him.
"Wait stop, I'm fine, I'm fine! I'm just bluffing. I'm fine…" She said Deimos stopped and laid her carefully on the ground and narrowed his eyes.
"I don't believe in you, I heard the loud crack of bone!" He uttered, Katara chuckles because of how innocent he is.
"It's normal and I intentionally crack it." She said, Deimos is confused.
"Are you really fine?" He asks again and Katara wags her head.
"Yes, anyway what are you doing here?" She questioned back.
"I am looking for you…" He implied.
"What for?"
"About what happened, I could request to let you out from the game since you're in selection. It's easy for you not to participate, do you want me to let you out?" He asked, shook her head and took a seat.
"It's fine, I'm not afraid or anything. You don't have to do that for me, but thank you. I can manage myself." She said and then smiled at him.
"Tell me if you need anything." Katara suddenly had an idea, the perks of befriending this prince.
"I think you can help me."
