After Katara walked to the Professor Alan room, she immediately went to the library to do some research again. It's not time for training yet, that's why. No one wants to spar her again, so she just might read some books while observing each of the students in that part of the game.
She can't believe that there's some students asking that Professor to his newly built game setup, they all wanted to win huh? Good thing it seems that Prof. Alan has his own principle. She can't say that he's someone could trust but she believes he's a decent person. Many people respect him, as she read the books about weapons in this world she didn't read any kind of weapon connected to the gun.
Perhaps they didn't discover it yet, she doesn't care if Professor Alan will use that weapon for good or bad. The most important thing for her right now is to survive the game, she needs something that will protect herself.
She entered the Library and then immediately went to the shelves to look for interesting books, while walking and scrolling to the shelves she didn't realize she already reached at the very end of the library. She saw a book with golden covers, it caught her attention as it was hitted by rays of the sun and then light moved into her. She closed her eyes as she felt the reflection of the sun move in her eyes, the sun's in her skin is warm. Maybe because it's morning, she decided to take the book out of it's shelf.
It seems that this part of the library isn't used. There is a space at the back, it was dim. The book she is holding right now is full of dusk, she blows the dusk from it's cover and then opens it. There's also a table at the back, so she went there and blew the dusk on the table. After that she opened the book continuously and began to read it.
~•~How to create core~•~
Katara's eyes widened, what the hell? Is this true? She immediately read the next paragraph to confirm, if she's right then maybe she can create a core one?!
Having a core as a person born is a gift, but a gift doesn't mean you need it from someone else. You can create it, one of one million will succeed to create a core and once you do it you can be one of the strongest. Core is used to save energy, and also turn the energy to its host powers. Core isn't just connected to physical, it also connects in emotional, and spiritual.
Katara continued to read the book, after several minutes she positioned herself like the book said. Core is there, even if the person is ordinary. Simply because they're born in this world, it's just in an ordinary core they need to be created because they're core is like broken glasses that each piece of them is all over the body and is invisible and needs to be collected unlike those who already have powers their core already created.
First thing she needs to do is to collect the broken pieces of the core inside her body, to make her core veins visible. She stands straight, puts her two hands together in her stomach and tries to relax her muscles. She inhales and exhales, she needs to feel her heart beating. Her blood flows, her breathing. She needs to balance everything, she needs to have a clear mind to feel everything. She needs to go deeper…
"You're asking for me, your highness?" Deimos immediately bowed his head to pay respect to his father.
"Yes, I need to discuss something with you." Deimos raises his head and looks at his father.
"It seems important…."
"It is, I need you to choose your queen as fast as you can. Within months, the war in the southern boundary will break out again. We need to get ready…" The king stood up from his throne and then walked to the massive tables where you can see the whole land empire in Feronia and the it's boundaries.
Feronia has one of the biggest empires in the continents, fortunately the empire of feronia is blessed with massive parts of waters. Other empires wanted to take territory because of this, but this isn't just about lands. This is about everything, people, resources, and power. If they give up even a small piece of their land, people there will die at the hands of they're enemies. And once it's started, it's hard for them to stop.
"How's the preparation?" The king asked.
"It went smoothly, your highness, the participants are training themselves for the incoming game."
"Its good to hear that, those students will be huge help in our empire in the future so we need to secure them." That's right, it's a big help for their empire to have a new generation of strong warriors who could be the next leaders who lead the war especially if it seems that the war is breaking out again.
"I call the officials together with you, let's plan our next move and strategy…"
Katara couldn't do it, she couldn't collect the core. Damn! She didn't have any choice but to stop and went to the training ground. If no one will spar with her then she'll just practice by herself, the book says it's one in a million that someone could create a core but she will not give up. She wanted to be ordinary, that's why she doesn't want anyone to know if she'll have power or not, if she could create her own core she would like to use it for significant needs only. It is different when you have the power to protect yourself and your loved ones.
She entered the training ground, the set up is still the same as yesterday. There's a four ring around the training ground where every ring she saw two participants sparring using their respectives elemental powers. She didn't bother to ask anyone and just trained by herself, she silently tied a fabric on her hand when suddenly someone approached her.
"Are you Ms. Ave Heldigard?" He asks, she looks at the man in front of her. He seems at Ave age, he has a good posture and the first thing she noticed about him is his cross scar on his left side of his face. It was one inches long. Honestly he seems familiar, did she see him before? He has this cold face also, especially his eyes that look so lifeless.
"Yes." She answered.
"I am Desmond, my brother sent me here. To spar with you…"
"Brother, you mean Deimos errr the crown prince?" She made sure.
"Yes."
