Two more days went by, and there was still no news of mayvee. Now even her classmates were wondering what was up with her. Given by how popular she was, speculations about whether she was sick or went on some travel started to fill the department. Niel was lost in thought. In order to distract himself from her thoughts, he started to read a book. But he wasn't able to proceed more than few pages without having the images of her shocked expression, stuttering voice and panicked behaviour. Rather than why she was absent, her behaviour intrigued him more. He sighed heavily and closed the book. ' I need to get something to eat. Books ain't working'. He walked towards the canteen area and saw a small crowd of people surrounding a table. ' Isn't that the table where she usually sits?'. He wondered whether his guess was right. Whether Mayvee came back. He wanted to rush over but that would again lead to a new rumour about him trying to hit on her. And the kind of mental state he had, he couldn't deal with anymore nonsense without breaking someone's jaw. So he decided to wait a little far away from her table. A little later, the crowd started going back to their places and Mayvee was seen alone on her table. She sighed and opened a book to read. Maybe she was exhausted from all those people gathering around her. Niel was thinking whether he should approach her now, or would it be better to ask her later. Just when he was trying to figure out the best course of action, Mayvee took a glance at him. For a moment she just watched him fidgeting with his Rubik's cube and a faint smile formed on her lips. She walked towards his seat and faked a cough to attract his attention. Startled by the sudden voice, he lifted his face up to see Mayvee standing right infront of him. Her posture was rather awkward, as if she was apologetic. He understood what she was here for so he smiled at her and asked her to take a seat.
