Shokan brought Mizu to his Apartment, where he's been staying. Mizu looked around at his house which has a lot of Anime-related stuff in his bedroom and living room.
"Uhh...whoo boy…" She to herself, a bit quietly. "Just my luck to get a weird one…"
"Hey...it's not THAT weird…" He said, sitting on a big bean bag chair.
"Alright...well since we're here, I'll go ahead and explain the whole Link thing a bit more." Mizu said as she walked over and sat across from him. "So there's a bit more to Linking than what I explained before. There's some other...Aspects."
"Like what?" Shokan asked, sitting criss cross in the bean bag chair.
"Well first of all, you get a few Abilities." She explained. "Not like the powers a Nakama has, but you'll be able to maintain a Psychic Link with any Nakama you link with, feeling their emotions and thoughts on command. However, a Nakama having a Link benefits them in a few MORE ways…"
"Uhh...l-like what?" He said, a bit nervously.
"We can get stronger through a few methods." Mizu said, leaning back in her bean bag chair. "The most common method is that when we eat food, we slowly get more powerful."
"Oh, kinda like EXP in Video Games?" Shokan said, seeming to get it.
"Yeah actually. It's pretty similar." She replied, then continued. "We also get more powerful the stronger our bond with our Summoner is. There's also one more Ability that can only be used with two or more Nakama. The ability is called Fusion! Essentially, two to six Nakama can merge together, greatly multiplying their power depending on how many fuse."
"Woah...Nakama are a lot cooler than Humans." Shokan said, eating a bag of Doritos.
"Once certain conditions are met, a Nakama can achieve a new 'rank'. " She said. "Every Nakama starts out with the Rank that I have, Maiden. But there's a total of Five. Maiden, Duchess, Dame, Knight, and Queen."
"Again...a bit like a Video Game." Shokan said, taking a drink from his glass of tea. "Nakama are cool."
"Thanks! You right~" She said.
"So...do you know where any of the other 'Nakama' would be?" He asked.
"Hmm…" Mizu thought for a second. "I might know where One or Two would be…"
"Which ones??" Shokan asked.
"Uma Inaniki, the Horse Maiden, and Kyojin Oki, the Giant Orc Maiden." She replied. "They're friends of mine. Uma would likely be in an area where she'd be alone, and Kyojin...probably in an area with a lot of space, since she's pretty large…"
"Ooh...so we should go look for them, then?" Shokan asked, getting up.
"Sure, but I must warn you." She said. "That Monster you fought is called a Teki. It was mostly bad luck that it attacked you, but Teki are drawn to Summoners and Nakama, so there's a chance we might be attacked again."
"W-well...you seem super strong…" Shokan said, rubbing his head a bit. "I bet you can take them, right?"
"Actually some Teki are a lot stronger than the one you fought…" Mizu started to explain. "You know what, we'll cross that bridge when we get there."
