Douluo Continent
Glorybound city
It has been two days since 'he' came here. In the past two days, he collected enough information to decide his future path. Although he would have done the same even if he didn't have any information.
He was in the same timeline as the protagonist Tang Wulin as he saw him after coming out of the awakening center.
A young boy had a head full of short black hair and a stature slightly taller than others of the same age. However, his most attractive feature were his large, clear black eyes and long eyelashes which wouldn't lose to a girl at all. Even with his commoner's clothing, his outstanding appearance could easily draw the eyes of others.
That was Tang Wulin , the protagonist of the Legend of the Dragon King.
'He' also found the details of his current body, it belonged to a kid named Fan Lin, an orphan who had just reached his sixth year a few days ago, precisely on the day of the last awakening ceremony. What a coincidence.
Our orphan lived in an shared accommodation with 3 more people in his orphanage.
As the elementary and Intermediate education was free and compulsory for all, Fan Lin was 'compelled' to attend the elementary education without any choice of his own.
It was also this reason that he had remembered from the story and had wanted to avoid the situation of having any soul power. But who would have guessed that the situation wasn't in his control? Like it wasn't obvious enough.
So in the dead eyes of the child that he was in, he was sent to Red Mountain Academy to begin his studies.
[That's a risky sentence]
....
Glorybound City had their fair share of the dark side as well.
There were triads and many other forces at each other's neck. The law enforcers were corrupt or lazy as always. Till the time they would have their fill and everything was under the carpet, they wouldn't take much action.
Even though there were many other law enforcement agencies, this was still a world where might is right... and most people with strength were somehow arrogant beings in a weird cliche. Like they were expecting someone of the righteous path to come and defeat them.
Ah~ moving on, people who were not Spirit Masters were still treated differently than Spirit Masters. There was this sense of respect that seem to be rooted in them against the revered and holy profession that could pave the path to godhood. Obviously.
Most of the famous and ancient forests have been cleared and Soul beasts are just left in only a few remaining special areas in the world.
The Great Stardou forest being one of them. It was now less than a tenth of what it was in the past. The only Soul beasts that remained were those hundred thousand year old Spirit beasts but even they were on the brink of destruction and will soon be destroyed.
Soul beasts were now just left as decoration in facilities. A myths of the past. They were mercilessly killed and experimented to fulfil the requirements of the growing population.
All of these information were collected from the general public. There might be a chance that there are differences on the actual facts. The general population wasn't that aware of the happenings in the world. Everywhere is the same.
After knowing all of these things, my first thought was too remember my past and create some dangerous things. Even if I failed and the world was to destroy, that outcome would be more pleasing to me than the current situation.
Too bad I was illiterate and had never went to school. I should have studied then while the latter of my life was wasted in herbs and chemicals.
[Interesting]
[Flashback]
In a Hospital
"Kid, you never went to school, you don't even have friends your age, at least found a girl before we went to God na son," said my mother. She was 45 years old and suffering from lung Cancer. She once worked as a bangle maker in a factory, that's were she got that.
"No mother, You already know that I am not like others."
"I know son but at least a girl would be better," said my mother trying to persuade me.
She died three days later without knowing of what crimes I have committed. I sometimes feel like this all must be my retribution.
She taught me to always respect nature and it's dwellers. It was our life giver. I... on the other hand....
I know now that what I have to do here on this world. I need to become strong, strong enough to stop what I want to stop. That's the only way.
I will be a Spirit Master.
I want to be a Spirit Master.
And I will find a way to become one without hurting those innocent beasts because at least this time, I want to save someone without being the cause of it.
And that's how it started.
