A clicking sound was all a chicken had to remind villagers, that is another day. The king is already up. He has taken a bath and eaten his meal. He is wearing a man-skirt made of a real lionskin, which was embroiled with colored beads. Over his shoulder, he placed another loin's skin which showed the face of the lion. He was truly a powerful king, as this lion's skin he is wearing, he killed it by himself.
King Amandla strolled around his village, surprisingly he was not followed by guards. He told them that he wanted to be alone."Zendaya, its the name of the girl that insulated the King in front of thousands of people. She has a gut, which can be dangerous to her, but I like it. I could imagine her as my wife, reprimanding me as she did yesterday. Being a true companion, unlike all my wives who says yes to anything I say. Even when I'm wrong, they will never let out their feelings. They even wait for my approval for them to look straight into my eyes."The King thought as he continued to stroll around his village.
"I bet if I would have married Zendaya as my first wife, then I would have married another wife. She would have denied me, and somehow I would have accepted her decision. I never thought that one day a woman would raise her voice to me, so I never thought how it will feel. To my surprise, I love it.", King Amandla wondered.
"Hey young man, come here", He called the boy who was just playing around the street.
" Yes, Your Majesty "The boy bowed as he spoke. He knew that he was supposed to show the King full respect.
" Do you know where Zendaya lives?"The king inquired from the young boy. The boy's face was facing the ground at this moment.
"Which Zendaya, if I may ask my King.", The boy inquired back, still not making eye contact with the King.
"I don't know her surname but people used to call her Queen Zendaya. She was lost in the Evil forest when she was a little kid.", King replied.
" Oh, I know her. I can take you to her house if you allow me, my King."
"Please lead the way", the King instructed the boy and the boy did as he was told.
King Amandla followed the boy to Zendaya 's home. Right before they reach the gate, the King instructed the boy to go back and play. He, of course, thanked him with just words, but this was considered good luck in the village of Amari.
After hearing somebody knocking from outside, Zendaya's mother came out of the house, and to her surprise, it was the King. She expected to hear from the Royal after what happened yesterday, but she didn't expect the King to come himself.
" Oh, Your Majesty, please have mercy and forgive my daughter. She didn't mean what she said. Please have mercy on my only daughter, have mercy on my family.", Zendaya's mother pleaded, while she was on her knees. She didn't allow the King to explain his presence. She didn't even give him an opportunity to greet her, while she didn't greet the King herself.
"Good morning ", the King calmly said, with his hands crossed behind his back.
Zendaya's mother was a bit confused by the King's expression." Good morning, Your Majesty. I will like to apologize for not greeting you before, it is rude. It just that I'm stressed, yet this is not an excuse for being rude, especially to his Majesty. Can I get you a chair?"
"No, don't get me a chair but instead call Zendaya for me. I'm here to see her.", the King explained.
Instead of getting Zendaya, Zendaya's mother pleaded again in front of the King." Please don't punish her. I promise she is usually a well-behaved girl. I make sure that she will never behave like she did yesterday. Please, my King..."
"Just call her for me.", the King interrupted her. She didn't seem to stop anytime soon.
Zendaya's mother changed her expression, as she seems more aggrieved." I don't know where she is. Zendaya didn't return home yesterday ", She said and suddenly started to cry.
"What do you mean she didn't return yesterday?", the King furiously questioned.
Trying to speak as she cries, Zendaya's mother stammered," I. I don, don't know where, where, where she is."Trying to keep herself together and speak clearer, she said, "She, she didn't come back home my King.l promise you. I telling you the truth."
"Where do you think she could have gone to?", the King inquired, and calmer this time.
"It is difficult to know where she could have gone to as she doesn't have friends, but I was thinking of checking her at her ant's place."
"Then what are you waiting for?"
"When you arrived I was about to leave and not just to search for her at her aunt's place but to all our relative's places. My husband is not well today, so I also wanted to make sure that he eats before I leave." She explained.
"Alright, I will send a servant here, to take care of your husband while you go and get Zendaya. As soon as the servant arrives, you should go and get her. Tomorrow morning, please bring her to the palace. If you truly seek my forgiveness, then you will make sure that she comes with you to the palace." The King firmly instructed.
"Thank you, your Majesty. I will do as instructed", Zendaya's mother replied. The Poor women weren't fully honest to the King. She heard rumors that Zendaya ran to the evil forest yesterday. This was what made her father a bit unwell. After Zendaya's father heard that Zendaya is the evil forest, he couldn't take it, but just collapsed. Unfortunately, this time she didn't come back. After gaining consciousness, he is then been feeling unwell.
She also went to her aunt's house and she was not there. Part of her still believed that Zendaya is still in the village. She was just being in denial.
