[Oc × Dagur the Deranged]
(Cause I haven't had enough of this - He's babygirl)
[DnD System - Class: Druid] (Same system as Boring Summer)
-Scene Start-
Imagine waking up, staring right into the open maw of a beast, ready to devour you. That was what was happening to Hastur! "Oh fuck oh shit oh fuck oh shit!" Trashing and rolling out of the way, Hastur had barely been able to dodge the large maws of the beast that could only be described as a Dragon! "Why the fuck is a Monstrous Nightmare trying to fucking eat me!?" Indeed, the beast that was trying to eat him was a beast known to the How to Train your Dragon franchise as a Monstrous Nightmare! He was obsessed with How to Train your Dragon when he was younger, and said obsession carried on alongside him to adulthood.
Well, he was a nerd. What can he way? Just because he was a buff guy, it didn't mean he wasn't a nerd!
"What the fuck -" If this dragon was trying to kill him, then the only option he had was run and not fight. A heat brushed him, and he felt a deep pain from his back.
[You've taken 12 points of Fire Damage]
[8/20]
"ARGH!" His screams echoed in the beach, pain assaulting his senses and overwhelming his whole mind, colonizing his thoughts and soul. 'Fuck-' Adrenaline shot through his whole body, burning his mind and making him move regardless of the pain, his desire to survive overrode his pain, and he ran with everything in him. He only stopped once he was inside this dark cavern, hiding inside and making sure to not speak a word or make a sound. He was scared, as it is normal amongst those who were almost devoured by monsters! "What the fuck... What the fuck..." Panting, Hastur groaned and wailed as his back burned in pain, his whole back felt like it was breaking apart!
He was so focused on the pain that he didn't notice the small screen appear before his eyes, well, until a few minutes later, when he noticed it.

"Okay..." Hastur said: "How do I get more spells? I'm definitely gonna need them if I want to get out of this place alive." Dragons aren't peaceful beasts, they're animals, and that one that tried to kill him? He probably wanted to eat him or something similar. "Still don't like that guy. Gonna kill him, gonna kill him dead and use his skull as a bowl." If there's something Hastur hates is being hurt, either physically or emotionally, and he lashes out by utterly disliking or hating the one who hurt him and being either extremely petty or downright vengeful. He also gets either aggressive or murderous around those he doesn't like.
And right now, that Monstrous Nightmare was on his murder list.
[New Quest: Revenge is best served Roasted.

"...wait, background?" Quickly selecting that option, he saw a vast list of many, many backgrounds he could have! Many of them caught his eye due to their name or what they gave him, so he thought about what he needed now. He doesn't know how long he is going to be here in this place. All he knows is that he needs to survive! Looking through his options, he found a few that he liked, and that would help him right now...
They were:
[Roamer: You have spent your life in the company of nothing but your thoughts, wandering through the wilderness from place to place, with no clear purpose in mind. You've survived purely upon your own instinct and skill, with nothing but the equipment on your back and the sinking feeling that maybe you were meant for something more in life.
- Ways of the Wild:
Your years of traveling have granted you great knowledge of the world and its inhabitants. You know where almost anything can be found, whether it's monsters, animals, races, plants, or more. Also, after so long of providing for yourself, you have become an expert forager. You always know where to forage for food or materials, and you find twice as much as you normally would.]
[Islander: You've spent the majority of your life as an island hopper. You are excellent at getting what you need from the land, but particularly so from bodies of water. Huge, open spaces make you feel at home, as they can make you feel alone even when with others. Civilization is mostly foreign to you, but you know the ways of the wild and the ocean. You have endured great storms on a raft you lashed yourself, sailed for weeks guided by only the stars, and lived happily among the rocks and reefs other seafarer's see as death Whether you were a secluded fisherman, a self-imposed castaway, or a sailor whose port was the ocean, your map is the stars, and your boat is anything that floats!
- Wanderer:
You have an excellent memory for maps and geography, and you can always recall the general layout of terrain, settlements, and other features around you. In addition, you can find food and fresh water for yourself and up to five other people each day, provided that the land offers berries, small game, water, and so forth.]
[Botanist: A botanist, plant scientist, or phytologist is a scientist who specializes in this field. Botany originated in prehistory as herbalism with the efforts of early humans to identify – and later cultivate – edible, medicinal, and poisonous plants, making it one of the oldest branches of science. Medieval physic gardens, often attached to monasteries, contained plants of medical importance.
- Plant Whisper:
You are the one who feels that plants are indeed alive, you have absolute knowledge of every kind of plant without the need to do a Nature check, able to turn herbs into a medicine potion for allies or poison for foes, you also have advantage on checks against Plant-based monsters.]
These three were the ones that could help him survive in the wild because being someone from the future, his knowledge of survival was... lacking, to say the least. He was about to choose when another system screen popped in front of his eyes. This time, it was another quest, although an easier one.
[Quest: Survive
Objective: Survive the night
Reward: 2 Lvl 0 Spells, 1 Lvl 1 Spell]
'I mean...' That sounds easy enough, right?
-Scene Cut-
Well, as it turns out, he was in a fucking island full of murderous dragons that wanted to eat his flesh (Actually, only one tried to) so of course he would have some troubles settling for the night. First of all, he was cold and didn't know how to make a campfire to warm himself, but he remembered easily enough that [Druidcraft] could light candles and campfires easily! He made a campfire inside the cave he found and light it up, which was enough to keep him warm. He spent the entire night completely awake, afraid a dragon would jump him in the middle of the night or something similar.
But hey, he made it! And soon enough, a long - and I mean, really long - list of several cantrips appeared before his eyes, they were unlimited because he wasn't limited by class restrictions, but he could only choose 2 of them. "Let's go with the necessary ones..." It took him a while, but a defensive and an offensive cantrip were necessary to defend himself.
[Hydro Barrier (Lvl 1):
You reflexively throw water from your person or from a body of water within 5 feet of you in front of yourself, reducing the damage of an incoming attack. You are additionally treated as being resistant to fire damage from the incoming attack.]
Being resistant to something meant he would take half the damage from that source of attack - meaning? He would take half damage from the fire from these fucking dragons! The next one was the attack one:
[Dragobolt (Lvl 1):
You fire an elemental bolt of energy in the shape of a dragon that flies through the air. Choose a target within range (120 feet) and a damage type from acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison.]
He took this spell because not only does it give him a solid selection of damage types to deal with, but it also gave him a solid projectile in the shape of a dragon! Also, at level 5 (He learned that he can level up the spells, making them stronger, unlike the game where they get stronger when his character gets stronger too) every enemy within 5 feet of his target also takes the same damage as his targer, in a 5 by 5 area around the target, as the draconic projectile exploded.
And at last, but certainly not least:
[Cure Wounds (Lvl 1)
A creature you touch regains a number of hit points equal to (8 × Skill Level + Your Level). This spell has no effect on undead or constructs.]
'Ah...' Sighing in delight, Hastur felt the skin of his back regrow as his magic worked wonders! '9 whole points of healing, bringing up to 17...' He sighed softly, seeing his Spellpoints going down from 5 to 4 as he used a Lvl 1 spell. 'If I want to get out of here alive... I gotta level up.' Because at level 2? Druids unlocked something that would change everything to him.
Wildshape.
