Convincing (read: Using magic to mess with the old guy's head) the old man to let him stay was easy even though it wasn't the summer season for new campers to come in yet. Akira was an exception due to his... Circumstances. 'Huh, well, when a kid appears at your doorstep with burnt clothes, burnt skin, wide eyes and not saying a word, you can't help but feel pity for him.' The only few things Akira had with him was the ridiculous mail man bag that he used to store as many ingredients as he could save for future spells, his silver dagger for enchanting, his three books of spells and runes, and Mr. Riffles, his necklace. "And here we are- You can stay here as long as you need." Akira nodded, unwilling to speak, he didn't really have any reason to speak so why should he? The three scout masters seemed to take pity on him for not speaking while the pink haired one had this glimmer of understanding in her eyes.
Akira promised himself he'd never hurt someone who didn't deserve with his magic, even more so now that they are still out there, looking for him! Akira's whole family was set ablaze within their own homes, unable to leave as their house was surrounded by Witch Blight, a mixture of powerful runes and spices that render witches unable to use their magic. He was also unable to use his magic, the only reason he survived was Mr. Riffles, his familiar black cat that managed to break through a small window and get the firemen and police to come by imitating his voice. That, however, severely weakened Mr. Riffles who had to stay inside the necklace for a while... Akira still remembers the cold foster homes he had to go to, he remembers how the Witch Hunters are still searching for him, he remembers their deep hatred for anything they consider 'unnatural' as magic, even though magic is the most natural thing in this cursed world. "Meet your new roommate, Yoichi-" The excited man turned to look at the boy Akira had seen as he entered the cabin- Tall, purple hair that had these pointy wolf-like ears, large mouth open agape as he slept with his stomach upwards and a hand on his crotch, barely hiding away his morning wood: "-Yoichi!" Yoshinori, as was his name, shouted loudly, getting the boy to grumble and jump out of the bed with a yawn that reminded Akira of a dog. "Huh? What!?" Yoshinori sighed softly before pointing at the not hidden boner that Yoichi had fully exposed: "Cover up, we have a new addition!"
"Why would i?" He turned around before grumbling something about a mountain and a Sheriff? "They're gonna see me naked sooner or later anyway." When he turned around, he met Akira's eyes and how he looked down at Yoichi's boner before huffing, not at all impressed. "Wha-" It seems that the wolfboy took offense to that, because he looked angry at Akira's look of pity at the thing between his legs!
Meanwhile, Akira who was looking at the bug Yoichi had just stepped on, and not at his dick: 'I could've used that for a spell...'
"So, who the fuck's this then?" Yoichi picked his underwear that was by the bedside with some difficulty (since he had to bent over the bed to get it) before quickly putting it on: "Ah, this is Aki!" Akira didn't give them his full name, he didn't tell them anything about himself, he didn't even speak besides the words for the spell to make the old man take him in. They knew nothing about him other than he was a scared kid that needed a place to live, and they were willing to give him that. "He is our new camper- Well, he's going to stay for a while? We're still trying to find anything about his parents." Akira tensed for a second before sighing- It's not like they're going to find anything about him anyway! "Tch, so another one huh? You really like taking strays, Brokeback Sheriff." Akira had to resist the snort that wanted to come out of his mouth, knowing very well what Yoichi was talking abot- And the look he received from Yoichi meant that he knew that Akira knew what he was talking about too. "Any-way!" Yoshinori brought the attention back to him easily: "Aki will stay with us for a while i think, so be nice to him."
"Sure, sure, whatever." Yoichi waved his hand in dismissal before looking Akira up and down, a smirk forming on his face. Akira wasn't all that tall, he was about 5'4 feet tall or 165 centimeters, weighing about 92lbs or 46 kilograms. His hair was a dull and darker shade of blue being almost black, his eyes were a grey coloration. His mother has always told him that the eyes were the window to the soul, and looking at the guy before him he knew that he was similar to a scared cat, hissing with his fur all puffed up. "So, Kitty Cat-" Before he could complete his sentence, the Akira guy looked at him with this look of desdain in his eyes.
Meanwhile, Akira who hated the nickname Kitty Cat because Mr. Riffles said it was an slur and insult to all cats: 'What the fuck?' He quickly steeled his expression, but the damage was already done. In Yoichi's mind, the new guy went from a scared cat to a spoiled kitten, why? Because if there is something Yoichi hates most is desdain! He has seen it in the eyes of many while he roamed the streets, stealing money for food with Yuki's help. "-I was gonna ask what got your tail all like that, but i guess i don't give a damn." Akira rolled his eyes and went to an unoccupied bed, letting his bag fall down and riffle a little with the things hidden inside. Even after a whole year since his parents died, he still carries a lot of the ingredients he managed to save! He sat on the bad and took out one of his books, this one he has read so many times but he still is trying to figure out some of the spells inside, it was written in Latin so the curious purple haired boy wouldn't even understand what was written there.
And he tried to see what it was.
"... the fuck?" Yoichi was thoroughly confused- What the fuck is that? Looking over at the boom the new kid had was enough to give him a headache, but worse than most books actually gave him! It was written in this weird language with weird symbols all over it, and with these weird drawings of weird things and weird animals. It was weird! "Damn, I'll change your nickname from Kitty Cat to Weird Cat!" Akira did not even look at him, and Yoichi was not used at being ignored by others- He was loud and obnoxious by nature, he liked being loud because that made people look at you, even though the only living being he loves deeply is Yuki.
And that was how time went- Yoichi tried to get Akira's attention three other times, almost like a dog poking a cat and trying to get the cat's attention, only this was that Yoichi was trying to provoke Akira into talking to him by being obnoxious and annoying, but when that didn't work out he just left to go do something else. After he left, Akira did call his poor little meow meow Mr. Riffles out of the necklace, making the black cat let out this loud purring sound as he laid on his lap.
Akira felt like this place could be a nice one to hide.
[Day 01]
Akira was introduced to both Yuri and Aiden, they were the other two scoutmasters from Camp Buddy- This place was bigger than he thought it would be, honestly speaking. Aiden was the one who cooked, Yoshinori worked alongside Goro who was the head of the camp, and Yuri his daughter was the one that helped him with the finances of the Camp.
And looking around- This camp had seen better days, for sure.
"And this is the pier-" Akira was being taken through a tour by Yoshinori who wanted him to familiarize himself with the Camp. After being on the run for a year from those Witch Hunters, Akira managed to kill their finder (Who thanked him as he faded away into nothingness) and now all he has to do is hide inside this camp and no one will ever know where he was! He appeared inside this camp after casting a spell, he was desperate for a safe place so he followed the spell as quickly as he could without hesitation and didn't even clean himself from the last attempt at killing him those psycho hunters had. He managed to kill three of them, so there's only one of them out there and he's honestly terrified of him! "-of Buddy Lake!" Buddy Lake was really large, and interesting seeing as Akira could sense a few things from this lake, mainly the hidden Water Gnomes that lived at the bottom of the lake.
This world is filled with wonder and magic, but due to human nature to kill and destroy everything they fear, the supernatural unanimously decided to hide. Hide to survive! The witch hunts, werewolf hunts, and many other hunts that humans do to kill as many of their own as possible has revealed that its better for them to remain hidden- Of course there are a lot of supernatural beings out there, from demons to angels, witches to werewolves, vampires to ghouls, mermaids to ghosts, and much more! Each and every supernatural creature has magic within them, Magic is ever present and omnipotent, even the Gods cannot go against magic! Ah, yes, the Gods... They're hidden away in their thrones, reigning over their pantheon while mortals live their lives.
"We have some activities we do at Summer time, such as canoeing, swimmig, fishing, and much more!" If Akira had to describe Yoshinori, he'd describe him as a himbo. The guy's not very bright, he's uptight, but he has a good heart! "Also, talking about activities, we do have some things to organize for this summer's campers!" Yuki... If Akira had to describe Yuki in one word, he'd call her a pervert. The way she squeals at Aiden and Yoshinori whenever they interact intimately was honestly concerning! She sounded like a seagull at least once through their whole suggestive 'I'm here if you need me' talk they had when Aiden had some trouble with the kitchen and ended up burning himself. Also, Aiden? He's a cool guy! The only thing Akira doesn't really get is why he cooks naked!? "Thank you for the reminder Yuki, I'll leave Aki in your care, i have to help Aiden with some things." She waved him away before turning to Akira and smiling-
And that's how he ended up in her office, drawing whatever he wanted while she went over a few drawings of her own once she noticed Akira's interest at the rather explicit ones she drew: "And this one here is of my Supernatural OTP-" Akira drew a rather detailed image of Mr. Riffles holding a wand on his mouth and with a witchy hat on top of his little head, Akira also judged Yuki's OTPs by giving her a nod or a head shake, she went on and on about series and mangas as well as animes, some of which Akira hadn't watched yet. "And then they have the audacity of throwing him to super hell for having complicated feelings about a jeep!" She slammed both her hands on the table, honestly he stopped listening a few minutes ago but he still mimicked her facial expression that showed her indignation with whatever that was she said. "Anyway honey, that's an adorable drawing you made." Akira nodded before pointing at the window, where Mr. Riffles just sat down watching them both.
Akira signed the paper with [Mr. Riffles] on the bottom and gave it to her before leaving, Mr. Riffles beside him.
[Day 07]
Today Akira learned the meaning of disliking someone.
He doesn't hate Yoichi because hatred is reserved to a very specific type of people, but dislike is very broad! Anyway, he dislikes Yoichi because the fucker took one of his books and hid it away!
This all started because he saw Mr. Riffles and growled at the cat, Mr. Riffles hissed back at him and even clawed him before running to Akira to cry about the big bad wolf who scared him- When he saw the black cat with the new kid, Yoichi got mad and left, this morning Akira woke up and one of his books was missing! Of course he assumed it was Yoichi's fault- The guy has been all over him the entire week he was here, Akira even found places to hide from him! He was annoying and even physical, but Akira was always able to escape from him- if he couldn't escape from a loud and obnoxious guy, how could he even escape from witch hunters? 'Where is he, Mr. Riffles?' Mr. Riffles guided him through the forest, he came here a few times already to get ingredients to a few spells he wanted to do, most of them were routine spells that he does every single day to keep himself at his best so he can always be prepared for the worst.
He stopped immediately when he heard the growling- Turning his face to the side, he saw the large dog that was looking at Mr. Riffles with a glint of annoyance in her eyes. How did he know it was a she? Well- "Yuki! We don't growl at others, even though he is an annoying cat." Akira stopped right in front the wolfboy, looked at him with desperation and asked: "Where is it?" Yoichi's eyes widened as this was the first time he has ever heard Akira speak! "What?" Akira's face contorted in anger as he whispered: "Don't pretend, you know where it is- Where is my book?" Yoichi's felt a vein on his forehead bulge as he angrily realized what Akira was implying- Although he has stolen things in the past, he is no criminal! I mean, not much of a criminal anyway! "Hey, assho-" He was about to give a piece of his mind to the other boy when his anger gave way to this deep desperation as he whispered; "Please-"
"Huh?"
"-I'll do anything- Please, i has the last photo." Yoichi felt weird, not a good type of weird! He saw how Akira looked absolutely wrecked and decided that teasing or fighting with the guy wasn't the answer, so he did what? He helped the guy find his lost book.
As it turns out, Yuki found it and thought it was one of her books because the cover was exactly like one of hers! She apologized and gave it back, Akira opened the book hastily to look at the last page, where a family photo was- Yoichi and Yuki could see four people, a man, a woman, and a little girl. They all looked like Akira too, they were his family... What happened to them? "Thank you." Akira thanked Yoichi for his help: "Also, sorry." And apologized for what he assumed-
And like that, their relationship started to change for the better-
"Do it."
"...what?"
"Make me into a Garouwhatever."
"Rougarou? But, you'd need to keep me alive, because if i die, you die! That's how the magic works, you'd become my guardian."
"So? I'd get to be a werewolf, so that's cool."
"...alright, I'll do it."
