All the lights faded and the trio looked at each other
"Please, don't panic," Luna said as his eyes met hers. He took a shaky breath in.
"What just happened?" he shakily asked,
"You are one of the warriors we have been seeking," Violet stated. The beast beside the boy stepped in front of him. She began to purr into his side before locking eyes with Luna. She could hear the beast began to growl.
"Whoa," Luna awed. The beast was a saber-toothed tiger, but the cat was albino. She had pure white fur, a pink nose, and red eyes.
Suddenly the beast started to charge at Luna.
"No, Stop! Shelia!" He shouted as the beast leaped towards Luna.
Closing his eyes he hoped for her to stop, Instead, all that was heard were found purrs and Luna's voice giggling.
The young man's eyes widened.
"Shelia has never been that friendly with anyone before," he said astonished at the abnormal behavior of the tiger.
"She must know they pose no threat," The previous man spoke next to Violet.
Everyone headed inside, as Luna and Violet began to explain to the young man, Imani, about the prophecy, and the pull Luna felt that led them to this place.
"So, now we need your aid to help us bring down Kahnum before he ensues chaos upon the land again," Violet told. Imani took a minute to take in the girl's words. They weighed heavily on his mind.
"Son," His father began "You must go with these girls, after all this is perhaps why you were born. To protect those who cannot defend themselves. I cannot make you go but I strongly believe you should." Imani's father finished. Luna and Violet looked at each other and then back to the pair, hoping that Imani would help in their quest.
"I'll go," Imani says, standing up and bowing to the girls.
"That's fantastic! We have to head back to the city. We'll meet here tomorrow morning." Luna exclaimed. Imani nodded as he and his father walked the girls out. While trekking back to the city, a shadow began watching their movement in the forest.
"Hmm, I must inform master of this" it's whispered to itself as it dashed into a portal.
