Chapter 19 - Chapter 19

Nutrition Recognition

Vampirism Food Pyramid

Vampires require the following to continue.

The Obayifo and the Drunk require two different diets.

Obayifo

The obayifo relies on Soul Food.

-Key: Bone Marrow

-Meat: Chicken organs, human muscle, brain (bores)

-Vegetable group: Aloe vera, sage, marijuana

-Fluids: teas, fruits

-Bare min: Blood, eyes, tongue

Drunk

The Drunk diet relies on almost nothing. It is called a block diet.

Key: Blood, organs

Evers: Bone marrow, muscle

Meats: intestines

The obayifo's spirit responds positively to marijuana. Many witches of Locucts recommend a type of 'steam weed' sauna.

The Benefits of Green Saunas

As discovered by mother witch Helena Cederblom. Steamed marijuana keeps the body youthful. Those that meditate on Yo Gotithehm Ten has built a type of Shrine around Yon He.

Old Head Vamps visit when they can but not often. Because of this the older folks of Locucts find it difficult to heal when they need to.

There is no such thing as immortality and life must be backed up using magic or departure. The life expectancy of Obayifo in Locucts, even based on the soul is about 30 years.

The world is violent, especially with the realm requiring a speaker (Headpiece).

Those who wish or even bride into leaving The Ghytto for a better life, aren't vamps anymore.

In comparison, vamps that leave the Ghytto have a lifespan similar to the prison lifestyle. The term, 'Living life' implies a vamp is living unhealthy as the Department does not offer the same remedies.

To further understand the needs of vamps. Drunks are man-made vampires inspired by movies lacking knowledge of vampires.

Often going back to Bram Stoker's novel of Dracula. While in Locucts history he was Arabia.

Dracula ate many things from his country that nourished his spirit. But when he traveled to Russia with his mother and was adopted. Dracula became famished as his foster parents did not know he was a vampire.

VAMPIRES AND ANOREXIA PRIDE

Anorexia in vampires shouldn't exist. It is a false belief because vamps come from the reanimated body. Explains include Nosferatu.

As Obayifo, it is a stereotype that keeps us from improving.

The Obayifo is described as a starving African. Africa is already lied upon as a poor savage country.

Religion claims that aging is a sin. Aging entails an unhealthy lifestyle. Anorexia promotes depression, lack of intelligence, and discrimination.

As a culture, Locucts cuts ties to these ideas.

Davea entered the apartment with a broken air conditioner. It use to run smoothly but now man hard clank every five seconds. It sat in the right window that had the upper window holding a large crack and covered in dirt from the last time they played with the Wiggins boys.

Dashaud was the oldest and he had pica. Cedrica recalled playing with them and she liked Dashaud. Until one day, he decided to literally eat white dog shit and call it cocaine.

Cedrica ran away and The Wiggins moved from unpaid rent.

Then a white kid moved next to them. She thought Unwin was cute or Medwin, Edwin--something win. He wore black shirts and pants a ll the time. His mother was an alcoholic but devoted herself to Jesus.

"Do you like creepy things?"

"Like what?"

"My pet rat died." he told her.

"How?" she asked. "I choked him but it was an accident. I didn't mean to kill him." said Unwin. "I thought he came back like Frankenstein because his leg was moving but he wasn't."

"I'm sorry…" said Cedrica. "How did you make him move?"

"I plugged a wet wire into the plug in the house. The lights went off and Scooter jumped on me. But now the landlord increased our rent."

She chuckled, "Boy you need a whoopin'"

"What's that?" asked Unwin.

"It's when yo mama beats you with a belt."

"What?" he was taken aback. "My mother doesn't hit me with stuff. I get slapped sometimes when she says I deserve it."

Cedrica opened her mouth, "Yo mama hit you like that?"

"Yeah."

"That's child abuse. I get the belt sometimes." she pursed her lips. "My fat ass sister don't ever get hit."

"I don't like getting hit. I hate my mom." he rested his head on his arms covering his knees. He smiled, showing his yellow teeth. "I asked Satan to do it."

"Satan?"

"Yep, one day imma be a cult leader. Like my dad, he owns a church in North Dakota."

"That's cool. My mom doesn't have money."

"My dad and my mom got divorced. He was fucking one of his followers and mom blew a gasket. I was like, that's her fault."

"My mama goes to church sometimes. I don't like church." she told. "How come?"

"They wanted to baptize me. Tori is baptize but she still fat."

"My father doesn't believe in baptizing, he does drink blood tho."

"Really? Like real blood?"

"I saw a bucket in church." he smirked. "Then I got in trouble." he picked his nose.

"Sounds fun."

"My body was real light, and the best thing was… I couldn't feel anything. So, one day, my mom hit me for bringing a squirrel in the house. I couldn't feel anything."

Cedrica hung out with Unwin for weeks to months. During Christmas, Unwin was digging in the trash can by the apartments. Her mother strictly demanded that she stay away from him.

She was on the phone talking to Yahoska. "I mean, Ethan stay business at the barber shop." her voice loud enough that the neighbors heard.

She was on the landline cutting potatoes in the kitchen and the phone stretched from the living room. The girls moved the receiver closed to the kitchen so nobody got choked again.

"...And I told her, Jamie say the same thing every week. 'Imma do it' and he never does anything…" she pointed a half-cut potato at the wall. "And Claire got custody of Roddick."

The girls looked at each other on the couch. Torielle relaxed on the armchair looking at her sister. "Ms. Tinkerbell fucking the barbershop owner?" her lips contorted. "Mr. Johnson kinda fine." blushed Cedrica

"No, he's not…" Tori's fluttered her eyes. "You think grown men his cute. That's weird."

Cedrica shrugged, "Vijay was cute--"

"Cedrica!" Davea hollered. "Come in this kitchen right now!"

"I hope you lose yo shit." Torielle murmured as her sister got off the couch.

Cedrica walked into the kitchen. She saw that her mother laid down the phone next to her foot. "Yes ma'am" she answered as she stood in the kitchen frame.

"Girl don't play with me." her mother held a clenched jaw. She stepped froward, "Ma'am?"

"What is wrong with you?" her voice a hushed whisper. Torielle moved to the kitchen door, praying not for Cedrica but for justice.

"Do you remember what I told you? Before I left the house?"

"Yes…"

"What happened?"

"Nothing…"

"So you lying to me?"

"No…"

"So I didn't see you having a period?" she tilted her head. "Do you understand what happened to you?"

Cedrica nodded. "Go in my room and take the plug out the wall."

Torielle nodded. "And if I catch Tori by the door, bring the other cord." Torielle shook her head left and right, she crawled away from the door.

"Not today…"

"She by the door…"

Cedrica twisted Tori's arm. "AH!" Torielle took her arm and focused. "I hate you!" yelled Cedrica. Tori bolted towards the window and rammed Cedrica into the bump on the window sill.

She brought her right hand up and beat Cedrica with the flats of fingers. Cedrica smacked Tori in the face while screaming, pushing her face and beating in the cheeks.

"Fat fuck!"

"Bitch ass little girl." Torielle grabbed Cedrica's hair and swung her to the floor. Her knuckles connected to the side of her jaw and front of her face. Cedrica bawled whilst crying. "Let me go bitch!"

"Take it!" Tori lacked emotion at this time. Her sister got hurt and the one time it actually mattered, she still wanted to be stupid.

She woke up out of bed and sat up straight. They had to share a mattress and it was getting to Tori even more.

Then wanted to hang around Unwin.

"STOP IT!" she cried. Torielle delivered a hammer to her nose, summoning blood. "You stupid as fuck!" she stopped beating her sister. "And imma tell mama you been talking to Unwin through the walls."

"NOO!" Cedrica held her head. "I fucking hate you!"

"So be it! You don't know that little boy!" she screamed. Tori kicked her sister and left the room. As she walked into the living room, she turned to see a woman sitting on the couch with a cigarette in her hand.

She breathed, "Where's my mama?"

"Who is you?"

"Yo mama…" the woman answered. "I don't care if you know or not."

"Then get out…"

"Technically I live here." she threw the cig at Tori. "You ain't my kid. And the hoe at the salon making payments I guess she like it."

"What?"

"What do you call a black spanish child?"

She didn't answer. "Mulatto."

"So…" Tori sneered.

"You look like Joseph's stupid ass…"

"I don't know who that is…"

"same with my kid you just beat up. Y'all both don't know." She put the cigerette out on the couch armrest. "Imma tell you did that."

"Get out!"

"YOU GET THE FUCK OUT!" blasted Cedrica from the bedroom. "I HOPE YOU FUCKING DIE YOU FAT BITCH. YOU AIN'T MY MAMA AND YO COOCHIE STANK."

Tori rolled her neck, "You a gay bitch!"

"Do you know what you is?"

"What I'm is? Who is you?"

"YO SISTER DUMB ASS!"

"I AIN'T TALKING TO YO RETARDED ASS!"

"WELL I HEARD MY NAME!" exclaimed Cedrica.

"Listen," said the woman. "She needs her medicine and yo big mama won't give her them."

"What medicine?"

The lady went through her black purse and handed Torielle pills. "She'll calm down."

"What's wrong with her?"

"Demons." she put her hair behind her ear. "I fucked up."
