"I think we should let the King know about this"
Diane snorts hearing Ephesus opinion.
"And what? You think that because he allowed you to stay in this Kingdom, he'll take advice from you?"
Ephesus squints in his eyes in the "What does that mean?" manner.
"My Father is a beast when it comes to arrogance and guess what? He's deaf when he is in front of advisers. Don't think advisers and counselors haven't spoke to him from different Kingdom before. I don't see any reason why you talking to him will make any difference"
No one says anything afterwards because Diane is breathing like she just finished fighting with someone.
"My Father is a good man. But he is certainly deaf when it comes to listening to us"
No one argues with them because they have their own reason for saying this, which might be a bad thing.
"We can't make him listen to us. So we just have to make him see it for himself" Thaddeus says and Vilva chuckles.
"And how are we going to do that, My Prince"
"There's only one option and that's to lead him to Samuel's room when the moron is speaking to the woman reflection on that mirror, period" Simon answers instead and they all reason with him.
That's certainly correct. Well done, Simon!!!
"What if they have this type of thing that will sense the King near their room? Like, they will know when the King is by the side of the door or when he's peeking from the key hole? How are we going to do that?"
The question of Miles is overwhelming and jaw dropping. How are they going to do that actually? A thoughtful question coming from someone that acts really stupid at times.
"They can smell his Royal scent, or worst place something beside or in front of their door to alert them to know when someone is coming. Now that he obviously knows that we know that woman"
Esther, for once, says something different.
Ephesus hand is on his chin, in a thoughtful position is how he is standing and thinking about their next move.
Seeing his posture and position, Diane can't also help to get into thinking also. There's so many things that are happening at once and they can't even get their minds straight on one, because when they want to tackle one, another one arises. Which is not so the good thing they'd like to see.
"There's no how we'll get Father to believe us but... " Diane starts.
Ephesus looks up at her and she up at him.
"We just have to go through this gradually. Learn every single move of Samuel with both eyes and we also have to be highly vigilant"
Ouch!!! All of that in one breath, jeez Diane, they ain't going anywhere!
"So that means... " Miles try to get the gist clearly.
But Diane keeps her gaze on Ephesus.
"It means we need to be a team"
Thaddeus feels a type of joy rise in his stomach.
"And a coordinated one at that"
