King Luke and all his children are seated in their thrones and discussing. But Diane's mind is absent from what they have been talking about.
Her mind is on Ephesus.
What's with the guy anyway?
He just starts talking out of the blue moon? Or what?
"Diane? Are you here?"
The hand that waves in front of Diane's face immediately jolts her back to reality. She has been thinking about Ephesus that she didn't even concentrate on what they are dealing with.
"Yes. I am here" Diane answers and Xelilah smiles mischievously. But Thaddeus keeps his eyes on Diane.
Her absentmindness should not get them busted because he will not hear sorry, nor will he hear that IT'S A MISTAKE!
That should not happen. Because if it does, Diane will go straight to jail. A Royal Jail, regarding her crown... That's why the title is called a "Royal Jail".
"Nothing is wrong, Father" Diane say royally making the minds of King Luke, Xelilah, Roy and Thaddeus to settle down a bit.
"So have you changed your mind, Diane?" King Luke asks.
"I am not interested in any marriage to Samuel. I am not. repeating myself"
Xelilah eyes widen at the reply of Diane and the tune of her voice. Roy is completely dumbfounded.
Diane sure knows her boundary but it's like she's heading too far just because of the force and pressure that their father must be placing on her.
"Diane, stop making this marriage thing become forceful for you-"
"I am not making anything forceful. I am simply taking responsibilities for who I truly am. I am not marrying Samuel, neither will I marry any other wizzle Prince that you might have in mind"
Luke is furious hearing this reply. How dare she decline his order of marrying Prince Samuel?!
Is it madness?!
"So what? You want to marry the soil tester?"
"He looks more humble and obedient to me, than Mr Old Prince Samuel"
Luke says nothing but just stare at his daughter.
She's growing horns.
And he will surely pull them down.
Luke says nothing but with the deafening silence that erupts, Diane stands up from her seat with her food and left the dining area.
Her face shows seemingly a kind of excitement, but anger is in her eyes.
Anger that she is not the one to choose who she will marry.
"Vilva, has the soil testers eaten?" she asks as she passes the four maids down the hallway.
"Yes ma'am. They have been served"
Diane nods as she enters her room with Vilva.
Meanwhile, in the room of Samuel is the Prince and the two hefty men that came with him to Azariah.
"I can't believe you snoopy idiot, let the Princess and some other idiots to find out who you truly are! You fool!"
The woman's appearance on the mirror yells in fury and she ferociously eyes Samuel.
"Fool of the highest order!" she yells again.
Samuel's head is bowed and the men are also wishing in their hearts to just break the mirror and never go back to that Kingdom again so that they won't get killed.
Sounds like a brilliant plan to them.
Samuel, however, is completely drained. Both his energy, and his life seems to have lose all hope and he the interest in this mission to be the Princess husband has died down completely.
It's not like he has never been called a fool in his life, it's just that whenever they call him names, he has emotional instability. He feels teary whenever he hears them call him a fool, a bastard, a stupid person.
Sometimes, he even wonders if the woman he calls his mum is actually his mother.
