Aileen's POV on
"Fine, let's say that you are annoyed with me then you should have tell me immediately, Ai. We are not children anymore. You always say that you are not a kid anymore, right? Now tell me, what is the reason you are showing an annoyed expression to me? And what do I have to do with your upset to your friends. Explain it everything to me, Ai."
Thump!
Hearing Glenn's question who was currently looking at me seriously, I couldn't help but be silent. To be honest I also didn't know the answer to his question why was I annoyed with him just because of that woman's arrival and also college friends who asked about him.
I shouldn't have to be upset when there was a woman who was looking trouble with him or when my friends asked about him.
I just need to ignore that woman while for my friends, I just need to answer their questions with simple answers. I just need to say that Glenn and I were just acquaintances so the matter didn't need to be extended, right?
But unfortunately I couldn't.
I couldn't say or just ignore it. There was a part of my heart that could not accept it, and didn't like the reality.
"Ai, do you want to stay quiet or explain to me? But I won't force you, if you don't want to answer."
His words brought me back to my senses because I was busy daydreaming what I was really thinking. It would be very unfair if I didn't answer his question, while he was carefully explaining my question.
"Sorry...."
"Not sorry, Ai. That's not what I want to hear from you." Glenn interrupted me bluntly, making me feel even more guilty for the lack of clarity I had shown him for the last two weeks.
"Glenn, listen to me. I..., have absolutely no idea what I'm feeling right now. I just don't like that woman, I'm angry with her. How can she try to humiliate you in a public place like that," I said deliberately hanging my sentence because I wanted to see how he reacted when I explained what I really felt.
But Glenn just kept quiet, and looked at me with a look not satisfied with my answer. He seemed to know that I hadn't fully explained everything, and not answered clearly what he was asking.
"She should just have pass by our table and didn't have to look for trouble like yesterday. If she wanted to say hello, just said hello. No need to look for trouble," I continued in an annoyed tone, and let out all the annoyance that I couldn't show when that time happened.
"That's her right, Ai. We just need to ignore her, then it will be over," Glenn said in a calm tone, whereas not all men would want to be humiliated by women, especially from the ex who had a relationship with them.
"But I don't like it." I said quickly.
"That's also your right, Ai."
Ugh, why did he talk so casually.... Annoying.
"Tsk, I still don't like it when other people are like that to you," I replied quickly.
"Fine, you don't like it, so that's why you didn't reprimand me for two weeks?" Glenn guessed casually.
"Tsk, Glenn. I have told you, it was all because you didn't immediately explain to me who the woman was when we got to the apartment," I replied again.
Glenn nodded his head, which I didn't know what he meant.
"Ok, but you know now, right? You already got the explanation from me why didn't I reprimand you then?"
I nodded, confirming his words.
"Um," I mumbled briefly.
"Then what about your friends?" asked Glenn who again made me speechless.
"I'm still waiting, Ai," he continued and this time with his arms crossed and a look asking for an explanation.
"Geez.... Be patience," I said annoyed.
I again tried to explain what I felt in words, whereas I wasn't sure myself what I was feeling.
"The day when you picked me up, after we finished talking, I returned to the hall and immediately many of my friends asked me who you were."
I tried to remember the first time I was annoyed with him, so that I showed an unpleasant face two weeks ago. And I got even more annoyed with the arrival of that woman.
"Hmm?" he muttered waiting for my next sentence.
"They asked me every day when we practiced and every time they met me. Who you were, what your name was, where did I know you, did you have a girlfriend or not, and so on. They asked questions that irritated me, so I got annoyed and didn't know what to do or vent it to whom?"
"So you blame me?" Asked Glenn with a smile, but it looked more like. A smile holding back annoyance especially when I nodded innocently, without the slightest rebuttal.
"Well, it all happened because of you so you're the one who caused the problem. If only that night you didn't pick me up, then they wouldn't need to see you, would they? And I wouldn't-
"So you were mad that I picked you up?"
"Of course not."
I fell silent, after answering quickly his question. His question was the same as that night, when I answered him also quickly what he asked.
Who said that I didn't like and was angry when he picked me up?
I actually really liked it. It was just that I didn't like it, when he became the talk of my friends. No one should get acquainted with him, because he....
"Then why can't they know who I am or what's my name?"
"Eh?"
"What's the reason? Don't you just need to tell them that my name is Glenn, I'm your roommate, or you can introduce me as your husb-
"How could I do that!" I said loudly.
As a result of my voice being too loud, while interrupting what he was saying, we were immediately in the spotlight as several visitors looked at us.
I moved awkwardly when I heard whispers from other visitors, and also got strange glances from them. Meanwhile Glenn apologized with nodding his head to them, after that they began to ignore us and resumed their respective activities.
"Geez Ai.... Can you not, just a day without squealing like that, heum?" Gavin hissed with his eyes staring at me, making me a little scared because I knew that my voice was really annoying.
"Sorry."
"Hmm, never mind. Then, back to our matter.. what do you want now?"
Glenn murmured unconcernedly, then went back to discussing the continuation of our problem. It seemed that Glenn really wanted everything to be solved today as well.
"Is it because he's going abroad?" I thought.
"I mean, you didn't answer or you answered their questions, then the problem should end there. But why have I been ignored for two weeks. How strange?" he continued when I was still silent.
"I.. I don't know," I answered with my head lowered.
"You're weird, Ai. You were the one who did it but you didn't know why?"
"Yeah, I don't know. I just feel that you and I are close. That means... That means..."
I didn't continue my own words, when I found it hard to say my feelings that until now still confused me.
"Aileen," Glenn called and this time for some reason the tone he used, felt strange, careful and also.... soft.
"Are you...."
Instantly my eyes rounded perfectly, when he said a short sentence but was able to make my heart beat fast. I was only able to be silent and listen in silence, when he again said a sentence that was beyond my own expectation. There was no way what he said was true. There was no way I could....
"Are you jealous, Ai?"
To be continued.
