When Vast opened the book and looked at the first page, he was bombarded with knowledge that blew him to his core. He did not stop reading and reading until he got to the topic of Innate gifts.
Vast wanted to process what he just read through a simple explanation to himself, it might have looked crazy to others, but to Vast it seemed like a good way to learn quickly and to process in his mind.
"So basically there are 2 ways on how Talent is measured, the first way is how fast a person can infuse his soul with stellar energy. The second way is how much affinity do they have with an element.
If they don't have affinity with any element, or a low affinity with an element, it lowers their talent even if they can infuse stellar energy faster than anyone has done before."
There are 8 rankings for Talent, these are Low, Mid, High, King, Emperor, Sovereign, Heavenly, and lastly Divine Talent.
Vast, then saw a message below this tier list, and what he saw shocked him.
"Just because there are 8 rankings doesn't mean that they are common. Usually an emperor talent appears only once every 500 years, and the later talents are even more rare. "
Vast wondered what was his Talent was , so he reminded to himself to ask the old man what his Talent was.
He went to the next chapter that said elemental affinity, it stated that, "A person can only know whether they have elemental affinity or not is when they turn 12 years old since that is the time the person's soul can take it in stellar energy."
"The chance of having an elemental affinity is very low due to the fact that the universe runs on elements. Being a person with affinity makes your attacks more powerful due to the fact that they have an element in them, and that you can make your own elemental skill."
"There are many kinds of elements, but each has their own weaknesses and strengths. Having a rare element does not mean that you are stronger than anyone else. The rarer the element, the harder it is to cultivate that element so that you have more affinity to it."
"An example of this is the space element, its really strong, but due to the fact that it is really rare. You need to find a place where stellar energy that its attributed to space to increase your affinity, or a space treasure that can increase your affinity."
Vast was amazed when he finished the book, he sat there in a daze. Time flew, but Vast just sat there processing the information that was said in the book. It meant that he could explore the starry sky that he'd always dreamed of. Places to go and sceneries to see that one has never seen before.
Vast sat there until suddenly, he heard a rumble and realized he hasn't eaten today. He looked outside the window and it was turning dark already. He cut up a deer that he caught yesterday, after a long and hard struggle. He heated the deer meat up using the chimney the cabin had.
After bringing the food to the table, it started to chew on it. It was bland and chewy, but he didn't seem to notice since he was caught in his own thoughts, then after he finished eating, he fixed everything and went out of the cabin door. He went to his favorite part of the garden, then lay down. He looked at the stars with eyes filled with expectation.
He could hear the crickets chirping in the trees, some roars on the distance, and the cold air blowing onto his face just like any normal night, but this night was different. He couldn't hear or feel anything. All he heard was his own thoughts.
