Vast suddenly woke up, oblivious to his surroundings, all he could feel right now is his back hurting due to the ground he slept on.
"I should really bring something to sleep on," Vast said, grimacing while trying to stand. Stretching his body. he could hear and feel cracks from his back that made him feel bliss. He started to walk towards to the cabin while his feet stomped upon the dry grass.
Vast, then opened the door to the cabin and saw the old man still snoring away on his chair. He went to get some food and water to fill up himself up for the day since he was hungry from yesterday because all he ate was that bland deer meat.
While eating the old man suddenly woke up and said, "We'll be learning about skills in 30 minutes, so hurry up."
After hearing that message, he suddenly started to eat his food and drink his water spilling both of them onto the table.
"What an unruly child," the old man thought, disgusted by the mess all over the table.
Soon, Vast finished his meal, then spoke to the old man, "I'm going out to clean myself up," then hurriedly left the cabin leaving it in a messy state.
"Huh, why'd I even decide to pick up him up if he can't be thoughtful," the old man said quietly standing up to clean Vast's mess.
Suddenly, while cleaning Vast's mess the old man felt something, he felt a sense of danger aiming towards him with an intent to kill. A feeling he hadn't felt in a long time but he still vividly remembers each time he had experienced this feeling.
The old man then sighed, "They found me huh, I couldn't even see this Child's mental breakdown I so desperately wanted to see."
He then assembled what looked like a diagram and muttered "Looks like I'll have to use that favor of mine," as he started to chant a phrase over and over again while energy slowly gathered onto the diagram.
While doing this the old man got 2 notes from inside his pocket, it seemed as if he wrote it many years ago since the ink on these notes were already dried up.
One for the person who owes a favor to him and one to the child.
On the child's note it said, "Open this when you've experienced it." It was an enigmatic statement that Vast wouldn't understand until many years later when he would finally realize what the old man meant.
The old man then noticed that the child stood outside the cabin shaking as if whatever inside the cabin would kill him in an instant. He remembered that he was just a 9 year old kid and not a cultivator that has years of experience.
The energy that he is gathering for the diagram inside the house would make anyone without knowledge or experience so he didn't really blame the child but the situation at hand is precarious that he didn't have any time to deal with any nonsense.
He shouted out to the child, "GET INSIDE RIGHT NOW," Vast, then ran inside the cabin pushing the door and accidently breaking a small table on the side.
Vast said with a frightened tone, "Whhatt iiss hhaappenning," hoping that what ever the old man is doing this to teach him or test him and not actually something that can threaten his life or the old man's.
"No time to explain, get inside this diagram NOW!" the old man said with a sense of urgency. He could feel that who ever gave him that dangerous feeling was approaching their position faster and faster.
The old man gave him two notes then said, "You will give one of these notes to the head master of Jadeblue Academy, and the other one will be for you."
"What's going to happen to you, will you be alright?" Vast said while tears were dropping onto the ground. He didn't want to leave, his only family was this old man, and he didn't want to just leave him. He was not dumb and realized that this was a teleportation diagram.
The old man said softly, "Quiet child, just remember to follow the instruction that's on the note that I gave you. If you break that rule, I don't think you will last long up above in that place."
Vast, while tears were rolling down his face took the 2 notes and placed of of them into his pockets.
The old man after 3 minutes said, "The diagram is ready," but too Vast it seemed like forever.
"I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE YOU!" Vast screamed at the top of his lungs since he was scared of what will happen after he gets teleported."
"You'll see more this in the future" the old said in a melancholic tone, but Vast did not know what he meant.
"WHAT DO YO-," as Vast disappeared inside the diagram, the old man said, "I hope my good will wasn't for waste." He, then quietly went to the chair, then sat down tired after gathering enough stellar energy to use that diagram.
The old man wondered deeply on who discovered him, he'd done so much crimes that he had too enemies that he can count. "Lets just wait and see," he thought to himself as he waited for him.
Soon enough he heard someone bellow above him, "ARTHUR! YOU'LL PAY FOR WHAT YOU DID TO MY FAMILY." Arthur after hearing that stood up, and left the cabin. He said as if in a mocking tone towards the man, "You were just too weak to protect your family."
Arthur, then floated up to where the man was. The man was wearing a black robe with wooden sandals. His face had a small scar on his right cheek showing that he once faced death before. He also had a ring on his index finger indicating that he was married.
The man made a spear appear through his ring, when he held that spear, the spear started to be ingulfed with flames.
The man, with his flaming spear started to fly towards Arthur suddenly breaking the speed of sound. The air around him evaporated since it couldn't handle the heat emanating from the spear as if it was a miniature sun.
The man wanted to kill Arthur so badly, he had his entire life ruined due to him. He put himself through grueling training and cultivation everyday. He scoured the universe looking for treasures and resources that could help him one day kill him.
The man told himself to stay calm every single day since that would get him killed when he was training, but when he finally met Arthur, the one person that killed his family, his emotions overwhelmed his brain so threw reason and rationality out the window of his mind.
"Its a fight then, bring it on," the old man said feeling the thrill of the fight once again.
