Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1: FIELD TRIP

Blood spilled on the blue bus seat; shattered glass scattered around the floor of the bus. Everyone was having a headache. Waking up from being dazed. I heard a scream from a lady.

*SCREAM*

Everyone looked at the screaming lady and she pointed out something… A student laying on the floor, blood spread around the body with a broken leg and a white bone outside.

I tried to hold back my vomit as I looked away from the body. My hands could not stop shaking. My body shivers endlessly. I want to remove it from my mind as much as I can but it's just getting worse.

I saw people opening the door and getting outside. One by one we left the bus and only the corpse was in there. Many have only minor injuries, and some have broken bones but nothing more serious than that. Moments later the police arrived and an ambulance also came.

Even though the accident was done my tears just kept flowing. This would be our happy time. It should be one of the most intriguing and happy times of one's child. A long-awaited field trip.

It does not have to be this way…

But why does this need to happen?

As I hugged myself, I overheard the conversations of the police.

"1 driver, 1 conductor, 1 teacher, 25 students, and only 1 died. The blood on the student was fresh, but there is dry blood on there..."- Police

"We asked the driver and he said that the brakes didn't work. It was about 8 pm when the accident happened. They left at 7:30 pm. And they're supposed to have 2 teachers but only one was on the bus. "- Police 2

"About that, I already asked the other teacher, he said that there is one student who has not been on board so that teacher remains there to look for that student." -Police 3

" Did they find the student?"- Police 1

"Yes, I already contacted the others and they are now in the station."- Police 2

"The body was not still Identify."- Police 1

I looked away from them and noticed some medics carrying the body, thankfully it was covered in white cloth. I stared dumbfounded at the body when I saw its arm slipping away from the cloth. I recognized something about it…

It was very familiar…

It was a bracelet, a matching pair that I gave to Kheres…

Don't tell me it was...

I tighten up my grip on my arm as I can't proceed with the information I have.

"I think… This is not an accident…" Alica said.

"Yeah, I think so too… It's very odd that only we survived and just by looking at the corpse, it was very brutal… An accident like this can't cause that amount of damage right?" EI said.

"Culprit is on the bus…" I mumbled.

"By the way, who is the student left behind?" Alica asked.

"It was Kheres."
