"System, can this be changed?"

Xavier began to feel a little down. He had not been in the world for even a week and already met with such a danger.
[But what you have not seen, you can change.] the system interjected his thoughts.
Xavier was stunned for a moment but suddenly his eyes glowed.
"Yes, the vision only shows that I and Clara were chased by five peak Martial Masters but it didn't show who would be the ones to fall. And I am sure I can change that."
Xavier got excited by the prospect of this skill the more he thought about it. This was a very good situation for him considering that he had a chance to prepare and change stuff.
Xavier woke to return to the room and found himself in Clara's embrace. It was like time has not passed at all in the outside world.
Xavier looked at Clara, thought for a moment and said," Clara, wait for me. I'm going to prepare some things."
Clara looked at Xavier and asked," What are you going to prepare?"
"I think firing you was only the start of the troubles for us. If we want to be safe, I need to prepare some stuff before we go outside."
"But is there a need for doing all of this just for a mere grudge?"
"Well, you don't understand the egos of those young master's and heirs of big families. They need to stroke their pride and show off to satisfy their vanity."
"Hmm you go, I'll wait for you."
Xavier was about to go away but he remembered something and asked," Do you still have the dress I have with you?"
"Yes I do, we came here directly from the Sky Tower today, so I still have it with me. It's in my box!" replied without thinking but soon her face turned red thinking about what they had done yesterday night.
Xavier also felt his cheeks getting a little bit but he soon pushed those thoughts away and said," Good, wear that dress and wait for me, I'll be back." ans he went out of the room.
Clara was confused about why Xavier wanted her to wear the dress but still did so.
Xavier on the other hand went to the exchange hall and exchanged his remaining 1000 credits for 100 spirit stones.
He then put all of those spirit stones into the furnace which was kept in the System storage and it spit out a thumb sized crystal into Xavier's hands.
Thinking that this was not enough, he went to the missions hall and asked for missions. He wanted to take as many missions as possible but because of his recent conflict, the missions hall didn't want to give him missions more than what was worth about 1000 credits.
Xavier was a little frustrated but still took the missions and completed them in an hour. He gave the mission and this time told the attendant to check everything including testing each and every vial of potions individually.
He then you the 1000 credits and exchanged them for spirit stones.
Now he had 2 thumb sized spirit crystals.
He then asked the system," How many points do I have system?"
"You have 936 points host.]
"Why did I gain so much less points this time around?"
[That was the beginners bonus for concocting potions for the first time host. This time, the number of points you recieved are the actual amount you'll get everytime you complete the missions.]
"Then can I exchange my points for spirit crystals?"
[No host, you can't. The system will not sell you thinks which you can get really by yourself and the exchange is not worth it. It will be 10 points for a crystal. And you can buy it only once for each stage. It means that if you buy spirit crystals from the system now, you'll have to wait till you reach atleast the Martial Master stage before you get to buy anymore. You have many more things which you need right now and you can buy those things with the points you have.]
"Hmm, Yes, it's a waste to use points for buying things like spirit stones. System, of like to buy herbs for using for advancing stages of the foundation level. Show me the list."
A window popped up in Xavier's eyes and showed thousands of herbs. These herbs were listed from what was used for each stage and from best to the worst.
The most expensive herbs all cost around 200 points and the key expensive cost about 10 points.
Xavier didn't think much and bought 3 of the most expensive herbs for levels 2, 3 and 4 of the Foundation stage and with 100 points, he bought a formation plate and with 200 points, he bought a large number of herbs.
As Xavier trained for 10000 years, not only did he have achievements in alchemy and formation but also in poison making.
He bought those hundred herbs to make a bit so lethal poison so that he could buy some time of the pursuers got to close.
He hired a concoction room from the medicine hall and in there he started concocting the poison potions and also carved the formation plate. The formation he carved was a formation of both attack and defence called the Dual Pulse formation.
After finishing the formation which took Xavier a whole 12 hours, he finally came back to the room in the eve of next day.
Saying Xavier's haggard appearance as he entered the room, Clara was a little sooner but soon recovered and went to support him.
He had drained a lot of his spiritual energy thu for catching the formation and this was taking a huge toll on him.
"Don't worry, I'm just a bit tired from running around all day. I'll be alright." Xavier called Clara down.
"And be prepared to go out today. There may be danger so always be alert and don't go outside of the room before I come out."
Clara nodded listening to Xavier's words and saw him going into his bedroom. While looking at his tired back, an indescribable feeling rose in her heart which made her feel very uncomfortable.
Meanwhile, Xavier was in his bedroom and say down in the floor. He took out the two spirit crystal and started cultivating. In front of him were 3 herbs.
They were the Blood Veined grass, which was used to refine the blood which was the 2nd level of the Foundation stage, the Stone fruit, which was for the 3rd level of the Foundation stage which refined the muscles and finally the the 4th level of Foundation Stage, that was to refine the viscera. This was the Yin Yang Viscera Fruit.
Xavier took the Blood Vein grass first and started thinking it, soon, his aura started riding to 2nd stage. He couldn't be surprised by the power of the herbs.
He then put the Stone fruit into his mouth and finally he put the Yin Yang Viscera Fruit. After an hour, his riding aura finally stabilized and he was now at the 4th level of the Foundation Stage peak.
Xavier was more completely covered in black goo which was foul smelling to the extreme.
He washed up and went outside and saw Clara in deep thought. She seemed to be a little down. Xavier looked at the time and saw that it was close to midnight.
He said," Clara, get ready, we are leaving in 5."
Clara nodded and got up to wear her dress as Xavier had good her to do so.
After Clara put on her dress, both Xavier and Clara stepped out of the dorms. The reached the gates of the academy and went south.
Clara was not so rich and she could only afford a house near the slums of the city. The slums were located quite close to the South City gate and just outside of the gate was the first.
Xavier and Clara started going south and when they were near the slums, Xavier looked back and he saw five people following him. They had the same aura as the 5 figures in the vision but this time he could see thier saves clearly.
The were quintuplets and all had similar looks and demeanors. When Xavier looked back at them, they also looked at him. One of them started to smile and one by one all of them smiled in the same way. It was very creepy for Xavier to watch five such smiled at once.
Xavier smiled at them back with his orally teeth showing, pulled out a vital and asked it onto the ground. A dense fog shrouded the couple and he pulled Clara and bolted.
The Morris brothers were caught off guard and lost sight of them.
The once in the middle shouted," That little sir! After them!"
The five rushed into the dog but as soon as they breathed in the gas, they started coughing.
While they were coughing, the one who have the order suddenly noticed something. His face changed as he shouted," His your breaths! Don't breathe the gas. It's poison."
But it was too late, all the five had breathed in the gas and soon their aura started declining and it feel from peak stage of Martial Master to advanced stage.
The five brothers were stunned by this development. They shouted in unison," That bastard!"
The five ran in the same direction as Xavier and Clara. Being more powerful than the two, they quickly caught up and saw that they were going out of the city gate into the jungle.
They quickly have chase and followed the couple into the forest.
