As Katherine's team removed her robes and replaced her crown with her bridal veil, Charles was being congratulated by his father and his mother-in-law. Katherine watched as Charles shyly smiled and accepted the compliments the parents were showering him with.
The sight brought a smile to Katherine's face, and she admired the people who were now her family. If anything, that was one of the biggest positives from the day she had been so scared of; she now had two more people she knew would always be there for her.
Although, even if they hadn't gotten married, Katherine knew deep down that Charles would have been there for her regardless. He cared for her, it was plain to see, she just wondered if there was anything more to how he felt about her.
