By the time Katherine and Charles reached the end of the market, Charles had so many bags on his arms that Katherine was surprised that they had not fallen off from the weight. He insisted that he carry them all so that she was not bothered by them while she looked around and enjoyed the market and the people for the first time.
As weird as it felt to admit, Katherine did end up enjoying her time in the city.
Having Charles there with her made it a pleasant experience because he was more than willing to talk to everyone while she could just aimlessly wander and enjoy the fresh air without having to try too hard to make a good impression on the people of Eos. They seemed to love Charles enough where they either didn't care that Katherine was there, or they trusted his judgement enough that they simply loved her because he did.
