The beach house was locked away behind a gate that had a security guard posted at the entrance twenty-four seven. Even with it being secluded from the other houses in the area, since it belonged to a royal family, extra precautions were necessary to ensure the safety of the Lux family.
It was much smaller than Katherine imagined it would be. It looked more like a shack than a house, but then again, she was used to homes being the size of castles.
From the outside, it appeared to be two stories and about the size of a quarter of the castle up on the cliff. A paved driveway allowed for easy access to the front of the house, and when the limo stopped and the driver opened the door for her and Charles, Katherine quickly jumped out and ran to the front door without waiting for Charles.
