"Your Majesty?" Max called from the other side of the door as he frantically knocked. "Is everything alright in there?"
Charles must have called him to guard Katherine now that they were not together again, and the sound of Katherine's phone crashing against the wall must have put him on high alert.
"Your Majesty, I need you to tell me you are okay or I'm coming in!" he said loudly.
Katherine was so absorbed in her feelings that she couldn't hear anything. She was drowning in her thoughts, and nothing else mattered.
When she did not answer for the second time, Max threw open the door to find the Queen sobbing in the middle of the floor. He immediately ran to her and dropped to the ground to assess her for any injuries.
"Are you hurt?" he asked as his eyes darted over every inch of her. She seemed to have no physical injury, so he picked up his phone and dialed the Prince, just as he was instructed to do so if anything happened to the Queen.
