I fell down on the floor with a thud and started observing my surroundings frantically. "D...dayligh, put that thing on" were the only words that came to my mind. I saw the maid smile in satisfaction while the lady who was actually sitting on a revolving chair and had a huge table in front of her chuckled.
"I always like how the new ones react so I never argue with you people when you deny the reality", she smirked and revolved in her chair laughing out loud. Yes, she was sitting on a chair and as I glanced around everything became clear. The choker acted as a medium for me to observe things around. It was like I got my eyesight back. I could see everything. We were in a room that looked more like an office and with the walls, the doors at their places, I could observe my surrounding clearly.
I maintained my balance and stood up. I looked towards him and he seemed somewhat hesitant. So, I approached him and told him to trust me. I wanted him to be assured that no one was lying to him here and if he wanted to soothe himself then he had to put that choker on. Both the ladies were patiently waiting for him to put it on and their calm expression was somewhat suffocating. Dayligh reluctantly put the choker on his neck and for a few seconds, he sat there astonished as if stunned by a stun gun.
The lady named, Elytra Massichuez, as it was written on the big painting behind her back, burst into laughter again. You both are perfect. "Edina, we sure hit the jackpot this time. I guess I would no longer have to be the one with the disadvantaged human species. So, make these both understand the rules of this place and also take good care of these cuties. I am going on a round. See you later my precious assets. And yes, you can call me Miss Elytra, see ya~"
She headed out of the room as if a child after getting his favorite toy. She definitely has a messed-up personality.
Dayligh turned towards me and grabbed me by the shoulders with both his hands. "Is this because of the choker?" I nodded in embarrassment as he held me tight and was almost facing me and looked directly into my eyes.
"So, you mean it's all true?" I again nodded.
He released me and placed his right hand on his head. He then took a deep breath and looked in the direction to which Edina, the maid, was facing.
She finally reached us and told us to follow her again. "This time I am going to give you a tour of the house and explain everything that has been bothering you."
We reached the elevator and it was the second time using it because the first time we used it, we were unsure of it and also since everything was transparent too.
We entered the elevator and she started speaking, "The room we just left is Miss Elytra's office. This house belongs to her and she is in charge of everything." She pressed the buttons on the lift this time and started speaking again. I could see everything, it was like suddenly my empty apartment got filled with all the desired accessories.
"As you must have guessed by now that this is not a normal place", her voice resonated again in our ears, "well to be more precise, you are not on planet earth. But in a parallel universe. And we are not humans but a more advanced species than you. You might have noticed by now that our technology is far modern than yours and hence the effect can be seen in the design of this house."
We then reached a certain floor and there the lift opened. She told us that it was the first floor and hence it was used by the maids in the house. The floor contained a lobby and three to four rooms. The maids came out of their rooms and introduced them to us. We also did the same thing. Then we again entered the lift and reached the second floor. While we were inside the lift, she told us more about her world.
"We live in capsule homes and hence they are cylindrical. There is a total of three floors along with a basement." she further added.
Although now we were able to see everything but still except the walls of the room that built up the capsule house were transparent. "The walls are transparent only on the inside, a person from outside can't see inside," she added. The second floor was our floor and upon close observation, I noticed the place where I and Dayligh were lying but the fascinating thing was that the whole floor was converted into a single living room. So, it meant that Dayligh and I were going to live here together.
Dayligh and I stood silent and that attracted her attention. "The upper floor is the one we were just on, it contains Ms. Elytra's office and her personal room. You are not allowed to enter there unless invited" she further added.
We entered our floor and there we saw every necessity that we required from a bed to a fully equipped bathroom. The kitchen contained proper utensils, in all, everything was already prepared as if they already knew about our arrival. She gestured for us to sit on the sofa and brought water for us. We drank it in one go and she continued explaining, "You both will be staying here. Separately from us and your sole purpose is it make this place more MAN-like." she spoke in a calm tone.
"Over the course of evolution, the females only produced females and so a time came when rarely any males were born. It became difficult for us to maintain the lineage with only females. Although here most of the capsules are run by females still there are few households that have males in them and because of that, they are given special status. Special status includes the benefits of visiting planet earth and gifting them a special capsule."
As she was explaining a lot of questions filled my mind. "Umm."..I raised my hand as a child does in a class and waited for her to notice me. She peeked at me and gave me her approval to ask. "Wh..why didn't you guys preserve the semen of the males as your planet is advanced in most things?"
She without any expression on her face replied, "We do have them preserved but then still the outcome was the same, after fertilization, the offspring came out to be female. So, a conclusion was made that a mutation had occurred in the gonads of the males here and that was the cause of producing females only. The government later declared that only humans brought from planet earth could be used for reproduction as other beings known in the universe are not like us."
"What! there are other beings in this universe?" I asked as if a kid meeting a superhero cosplayer for the first time. I mean the whole situation was messed up and out of all the questions that were raised in my mind, I was eager to ask questions related to her planet's story. "Of course, there are all types of beings. But let's not divert from the topic, so in order to attain special status and a special capsule your job is to produce a male offspring."
Dayligh who was still not speaking anything and I who was totally engrossed in this whole evolution story were not able to believe our ears.
"An offspring?" at that time something snapped in me and I blurted out all the questions that were in my head.
"Why us?"
"Were we the only humans available on planet earth?"
"We are still very young and do you even know who we are?"
"What about our families?"
"How can you randomly select anyone huh? Huh! and why are there two of us?"
"And do you really think that we will be able to produce offspring? Wh..what if we are infertile?"
As I was blurting my questions, Dayligh held my hand and looked at me with dead eyes. "Stop!" as he spoke the only word in a while. Both of ours stomachs grumbled and we raised our heads and looked at Ms. Edina.
"Why don't we have a meal first and then one by one I will answer all your questions," her now not-so-friendly-looking smile seemed annoying to us but we still followed her to the kitchen.

As I was gazing at the evening sky, Dayligh finally broke the silence.
"If it's not a dream then it is all your fault, you were the one who pushed me down the hill. It's all your fault and I am not going to forgive you for that." His angry voice approached me while I turned my head to face him. As soon as I faced him, he grabbed me by the neck and I started choking. I already had a collar on my neck and his grip made me breathless.
"Day..dayligh stop, it hurts...."I spoke in a trembling voice as I tried to push him away. But his strong built was impossible to win against.
