For change of what she did for Elaine she needed to babysit her siblings for a week, besides Elaine didn't have any work in the morning. She tells everything about what happened, after that incident she goes home straightforward. It's been 3 days and she's still pissed off, god! Thinking about it just ruined her day.
It's hot. Koa is wearing a mascot while she's distributing flyers to every person who walks by in front of her. The park is full of people having fun, some of them are family bonding together, some of them lovers having a date for a day. But for case she's here for work, she's trying to be as energetic a mascot as she can even though the sun is so freaking hot.
She politely approaches people, some of them ask for pictures with her, and some kids hug her and give her candy sometimes.
She saw a kid stumble, she immediately cried out loud. A mother immediately helped her stand again, and then gave her a donut. She smiled, and wished to just be a kid again. Where she can cry all she wants after she stumbles, where her mother immediately help stand and then gives her candy and after that everything is alright.
She can't cry out loud now, to show that she's hurt. Even if she's hurt, she's tired, she needs to hide it. She needs to be stronger, she has too. Her siblings have nothing to lean on besides her, that's why she can't afford to show some weakness. Because if she is weak or she shows that she's not strong enough then who will they lean on? Who would they expect if even her will be swayed by the hardship of life.
She continues giving some flyers from the people at the park, some are accepting it, some are declining it. Those people who didn't know but just accepted it would help her a lot.
She can go home after she distributed all the flyers she was holding, she could get hurt because her work is done.
She saw some students approach her, she didn't expect that but they are the one who asked the flyers to give it to them.
"Can we ask for a picture?" A girl asks her, she nods her head. They gather around with her and then take some pictures, after that they leave and she continues bowing her head to thank them.
She looked at the flyers she was holding, half of it had been distributed. Only the other half she needs to distribute, after she can go home. She's been here since morning, she didn't even eat breakfast and now it's almost 1:00 Pm and she didn't eat anything.
She can feel her limbs are weakened because she's starving, the heat inside of the mascot hits differently.
She decided to take the head mascot that she's wearing and then she picks her bottle of water and then she drinks it up. Using the flyers she fan herself and took a rest for a moment, while looking at the crowd slowly her sight turned into blurred.
She closed her eyes tightly and then opened again. She felt a little bit of dizziness but she didn't acknowledge it at all. She stood up again and started to work, continuing to do her job.
But a moment later when people found her on the ground, she fainted.
A man with a suit approached her immediately, he took her to the nearest hospital. The doctor said it was due to exhaustion and an empty stomach. Koa just needed to rest and eat after she woke up.
Koa opens her eyes, from the very first look her sight is blurred. The first thing she saw was a white ceiling. She straight away wondered where she was or how she got in this place. She tried to remember the last memories she had for today and she remembers that she lay on the ground after she fainted.
She recognizes that she is at the hospital, she looks at the side of her bed and to her surprise a man with a suit looking at her.
"I'm glad you're awake Ms. Saville, you fainted due to excessive working and lack of eating." Koa blinks her eyes a few times, and wonders who this man is in front of him.
"Umm who are you sir?" She politely asked.
"Oh! I'm sorry I forgot to introduce myself. I am the exclusive secretary of Don. Javier and I am the one who brought you here."
"Really? So you're the one who saved me? Oh my god! Thank you so much!" She seated from lying on the bed and thanked him.
"Yeah, kind of. But actually I have something to discuss with you. Can we talk?" Mr. Gin looks serious, Koa feels nervous, and she's confused. She right away overthinks, she tries to remember if she had a debt with him but she is sure that it's her first time meeting him.
"Ummm Mr. Gin you can send the amount of my hospital bills, so that I can pay you." Mr. Gin looked at her and shook his head, they are now walking in the hospital hallway. Mr. Gin says he already takes care about her bill, that's why she knows about it already. She decided to agree talking with him, he save her after all.
"You don't need to Ms. Saville because it's not my money I use to pay for. It's yours."
"Huh?" She can't understand, the last time she remembers she is poor as a rat. She's broke, that's why no way she has money.
They finally went out from the hospital, Mr. Gin opened his car that was parked in front and then let her in. At first she hesitated, she didn't know that he might be a syndicate!
"Don't worry Ms. Saville I am not kind of a syndicate." Mr. Gin said, wow she's that transparent huh?!
"Okay, I'll trust you." She uttered and then continued to enter the inside of the car, they went to the nearest restaurant as Koa smelt food and her stomach quickly groal. They find a good spot, Mr. Gin pulled a chair for her and Koa thanked him for that. She looks around, this is not her first time being at the five star restaurant but still she can't help but to be amazed. Customers here look so expensive, unlike her wearing a white t-shirt with faded jeans. They are wearing some business suits and other formal attire.
She smells herself, damn! She smells sun, she smells poverty.
"Umm Ms. Saville you can order anything you want." She stop wondering when Ms. Gin talk, she shake her hand and her head.
"No, it's okay. I'm not hungry at all, we can now discuss what you need to say." The thing is, she doesn't have any money, she can't afford food here so even though she's starving as hell she can't eat.
"Oh! It's up on me." Koa didn't waste anymore seconds and then picked the menu and scanned it to order.
"Are you sure you're going to treat me?" She ask for assurance.
"Yes, don't worry. If you are doubtful, you can have my card."
"Oh! Really? Then give it to me." She opens her hand and asks for it, it's better to be sure than to have regrets later on. They are in such a five star restaurant and she's broke as fuck.
Mr. Gin startled, but then he chuckled. He gives his credit card to Koa, it's obvious that she doesn't trust him at all.
Koa's eyes transformed to dollars sign when Mr. Gin handed his black card, he is elite! The only thing that pops into her mind is to not waste the opportunity, she almost ordered everything. It was such a shameless act, but this is a rare opportunity. While waiting for food Mr. Gin started to talk, what he needed to discuss.
"You'll be inheriting something from Don Javier, which means that all of his property was given to you—" Mr. Gin didn't finish his words when Koa cut him off.
"What? Did I misheard you Mister?"
"No, as was I am saying you'll inheriting something from Don Javier."
"Woah, Woah, Woah Sir, are you sure I am the one you're been finding? I mean I don't know Don Javier, are you kidding me? Are you pulling some pranks on me Mr. Gin?" Koa ask him.
"No, I'm not." Mr. Gin simply answer.
"Okay, wait what?! You mean, no way!"
"Yes way, as I was saying again you'll be a heir of Don Javier and you'll be owning his property. Like his company, his land, and anything else."
Koa awe, she shakes her head and slap herself.
"No, this is impossible! Woah! I must be dreaming" This felt surreal for her, she doesn't know what to do.
"No, you're not Ms. Saville."
"What?!"
"This is the proof." Mr. Gin show some pictures.
"You're grandparents and Don Javier are best friends, and they are business partners. But your grandparents died before they're business continues to bloom, your grandparents shares should be given to your parents but since they died. I'm sorry about that, your grandparents' shares have been given to you and fortunately Don Javier also shares his shares with you." Ms. Gin explains, Koa put her palms on her mouth and said.
"Really? I'm rich now?" She make sure, Ms. Gin nods.
"Yes, if you accept this and follow the terms and conditions."
"No way, are you not kidding?"
