Chapter 42 - Chapter 42-Drawn by a force

On Her Way to the campus, Li Na kept thinking about last Friday's event. The date she had with Li Jun made her all tingling. Drawn by a force impossible to resist, she had kissed him and she was anticipating more.

Looking at the way he teased her, he wanted her to want him. what she felt for him was like nothing she had ever felt before and it made her realize how much feeling she felt for him after her attempt of pushing him away.

The last weekend was long, She hadn't seen, talked to, or heard from Li Jun, not since he'd driven her home from the amusement park, drove her to her apartment, and kissed her senseless on in the car.

She thought he was been serious when he'd told her the next step was completely and totally up to her, which made her afraid of what next she wants to do. The smartest thing to do was stay away. She knew that and her head was on board. But her body and her aching heart just didn't understand and had not caught the impression either. She was restless all day Saturday to Tuesday. She kept checking her phone to see if she'd missed a call.

She kept glancing out her living room window to see if anyone was walking up to her apartment.

At work on Monday and Tuesday, she perked to attention in my office every time I heard footsteps in the hall. But no Li Jun, or any student or professor for that matter, stopped at her door. Today, being...Wednesday she'd see him. In class.

She was so on edge so that relaxing was impossible. All her classes took place at the Postgraduate science hall except the one she taught to the final year undergraduate students.

She had to cross the street and walk half a block to the Undergraduate Science Laboratory, which had some necessary equipment for plants science practicals in the Science department on campus.

When she walked into the laboratory it's pretty empty, but as it starts to fill up she smiles, happy to have the distraction from her lustful and thrilling thoughts. She does not want to focus on Li Jun at the moment.

The commotion in the room is the regular first day of school hubbub of students getting reacquainted and then finding the perfect seat. Once everyone settles, She introduces the topic while writing it on the whiteboard.

Within half an hour she runs through practical and the theory backing the practical and she gave them a small assignment for next week's class, deciding to end things early.

After class lets out, she heads to her office rather than straight home so as to distract herself from her Li Jun fixated thought. She turned on her laptop and logs in to the school database. She needs to catch up on my email, go over lesson plans and get a handle on the payroll information the dean emailed her.

Her time was fast spent as she lose herself in the heap of projects and paperwork When she started feeling, she was interrupted by a knock at the glass-paned door.

She imagines it's one of the lecturers checking in on her. She squinted at the shadow behind the unopened door as she places the thick stack of papers aside on my desk.

"Come in," she calls to the silhouette.

She was taken aback by the man staring back at her.

Instead of a white-haired, thin figure she was expecting, she was face to face with a familiar figure, the man that has dominated her thoughts.

"Li-Li Jun?" she asks at the same time he says, "Hey, Li Na"

Li Na's chest rose and fell from the shock of seeing him, and he tipped his chin down, cocking an eyebrow at her.

His white shirt tucked into his trousers looked crisp and pristine against his fair skin, and his white shirt sleeves rolled up exposed his chiseled forearm which shimmered in the glow of the light overhead. She stood up abruptly and took a few steps towards him. "What are you doing here?" she asked, unconsciously.

His eyes shot down to her chest, and she followed his gaze, remembering that she had unbuttoned the top three buttons of her shirt. "How was your weekend?" he asked, a smile curling his mouth.

She pursed her lips and turned around, stomping to her seat she quickly buttoned up her exposed fair-skinned chest. Grabbing the back of the chair, she sat in it, waiting for him to sit on the chair across from her. "I saw the E-mail you sent me," he stated. "I was happy that you are not sending me to Professor Feng."

Li Na looked up, hearing what he said. "And when are you submitting the Literature review for your project?" she prompted.

"I'm not finished with compiling all of them," he confessed. "I did the basics of the topic, but I'm researching deeply about extensive experiments done about the topics by previous researchers" Li Jun shrugged.

"Well, I have some reference that can help you," Li Na said, grabbing a file and the file to him. " These should help you with the researches done in the past."

Li Jun flicked through it and nodded at Her." "It's is fully detailed," Li Na added. "But I have to warn you, apart from the descriptions of the experiment carried out, it's approaching the topic from the practical aspect and not psychologically." Li Jun looked through the pages. "Yeah, I know that," he mumbled.

She pulled out a pad and pen among the files on the table and made some notes. "Do you want to take it home and read it? I can assign you maybe some websites that we'll discuss next session?" She smiled. "We'll talk about the review next time and then we'll be able to assign some relevant hypotheses. So let's--" He cut her off as he stood up suddenly, moving around the table to move close to her. "I missed you Li Na, Why won't you call me since that day?"

Li Na shook her head, confused. "I-i don't know"

"I really missed you," he maintained. "I was thinking of coming to your house but I have to remember my promise to you. And I can't keep still, Li Na. I really need you. Don't you miss me?"
