Chapter 47 - Chapter 47- Red and Black Rose flowers

Li Na moved in a dream state, withdrawing clothes from her closet and spreading them out on the king-sized bed. Her muscles complained pleasantly. The creamy colored silk blouse sliding over her skin made her shiver, every nerve alive as though for the first time.

When she glanced down to button it, she saw a tiny red mark on the pale slope of her breast and smiled.

It looked like Li Jun was stamping his mark on her. She had a staff advisory meeting scheduled in an hour, but the thought did nothing to hurry her.

She wouldn't be able to concentrate anyway. She has been smiling since this morning, her fellow lecturers would most likely question her changed behavior.

What had happened to Li Na the unsmiling Professor? Li Na the solemn belle? She had nothing to say for herself.

After a half-hearted attempt at lunch and yet another interlude of lovemaking—this time on her kitchenette, as Li Jun had promised—he had dropped her off at her office last Friday and left for his meeting at Lu corporation headquarters, giving her a chance to prepare for the day.

Then he promised that he would return to pick her up and take her back to her house. She didn't know what people would think if they saw her in Li Jun's car. She didn't care at that time. Never in her wildest imaginations had she known lovemaking could be so untamed, it had never been so passionate, emotional, and exquisitely delightful as it had been with Li Jun.

The woman in her compact mirror smiled back at Li Na with flushed, softened features, with glowing eyes and kiss-swollen lips. A happy woman, well-loved and content to her very soul. Age didn't matter, nor sexual prowess.

Only this spicy joy, which cast a lovely, golden translucency over the universe around her, made it a place where true love could be cherished.

......

Getting to her office on Monday, she saw a bunch of red and black Rose flowers by her door with no name of the giver on the card, seeing that it has no name on the card and not noticing the tiny initials (C.G) painted red at the bottom of the card she disposed it to the nearest recycle bin beside her office.

She reasoned that it couldn't be Li Jun because he chatted with her over the weekend while in Hong Kong for a meeting with his partners on an ongoing project and he didn't mention sending her Flower. Fear gripped her as she wondered whether it was her ex-fiance, but she shook her head, thinking he was still doing his sentence in China. Perhaps the courier service has made a mistake, she mused.
