The stack of papers on the table was enough to make anyone flinch but not Urta. He'd known that reading reports was part of being a leader—even though at times he was tempted to hire someone to do the more mundane things.
It was still a hassle to comb through the mountain of papers—each containing reports from different parts of the city and even the whole Dydil. Even the other smaller rulers had to send in a weekly report to state how things were going in their sector.
No matter how much it stressed him, Urta felt it had to be done. Sitting alone in his dark chambers wasn't the ideal life he'd wanted but he had to endure since he was the one the people appointed to oversee their activities. It was a shame though because he barely went outside.
