(POV Lee Shun)
Lee Shun awoke in immense pain. He looked to see if he really had lost an arm. There was no arm, and looking at his body, he was covered in bandages. Looking over to his nightstand was his Dragon Weed book but with another book on top of it. On top of that book was a letter.
He reached over with only one arm and read the letter.

Dear Lee Shun,
By now, you are probably very confused and in a lot of pain. Much happened after you saved the garden.
The first thing I want to tell you is to thank you for protecting my master's garden.
The second thing I must say is Luo Ning died by Long Aotian sneak attack.

Tears from Lee Shun's eyes dripped down onto the parchment. He lost his first love and never got to tell her how he felt. After some time, Lee Shun continued reading.

After seeing her die, I killed Long Aotian and the rest in my fury. Luo Ning's master banished me for killing fellow disciples.
I leave my shack and all my books to you. I hope you take care of the garden in my stead.

Lee Shun couldn't process everything. He lost his love and his brother, and all the while, he was unconscious.
He screamed and cried for the whole day.
Come morning the next day; he climbed the mountain in much pain. At the top of the garden, he saw an elder in a golden robe staring at the temple.
Lee Shun greeted the elder with a bow and asked, "Elder are my seniors truly gone?"
"Yes, my boy," he replied with sadness.
Lee Shun looked down at the ground. So everything was true.
"Boy, what is your name?"
Lee Shun looked up to see the elder staring at him.
"Lee Shun, respected elder."
"From today forward, you will be my personal disciple."
Lee Shun was ecstatic for a second but then looked around at the garden before he could decline.
"If you decline me for this garden, I will beat you right here and now. This garden shall be my new abode, and together you and I shall protect it."
Lee Shun instantly fell to his knees and kowtowed his new master. "I, Lee Shun, bow to my new master."
Things returned to normal for the sect fast. Lee Shun had moved up to the peak with his new master and quickly reached the Qi Condensation peak realm.
It was the beginning of Summer again. Lee Shun awoke to see his master, Wong, cleaning Luo Ning's grave through his abode's window. Stepping out into the sun and breaking through the clouds, Lee Shun made his way over to her grave.
As Lee Shun walked over, Wong said to him, "You know that he took the blame upon himself. I killed Long Chen and his lackeys in anger. I wanted them to pay for Luo Ning's death."
"I know, master, but I bet my brother didn't want both of you to be punished." Lee Shun responded as he took the broom from his master's hands and began to sweep.
"Lee Shun, promise your master if that man ever needs our sect's help, we help him to the full of our ability."
"Of course, master, I must pay him back for leaving me his plant books and sword techniques."
Lee Shun knew deep down one day; he would make Gunn's sword techniques stand above Hua Sect's 8 strikes.
He then looked at the garden he had meticulously taken care of the past year. Without his detailed dummy guides, Lee Shun wouldn't have known what to do.
Handing the broom back to his master, "Master, I have work to do."
Like that, Lee Shun went to work like the Gardener before him.
