After collecting my thoughts and thinking about all the possible ways and different types of scenarios that will happen when I convince my parents, I made my way towards my mother's direction.
I gently grabbed my mother's shoulder and kissed her on her cheeks from behind. It was a habit of mine. And since I was taller than my mother it was easy. Well, I am the tallest among all the females members of my family. I m 5'6 , I wanted to be of my father's height but unfortunately I stopped growing after about my 15th birthday. "Calm down mama, I'll talk to her" , I said.
"Thank you Avni ! I just don't know how I'll handle everything if not for you" she said.
That made me think to myself , This is goona be hard. By hard I mean really really HARD.
I went over to my sister Janvi and started talking to her. She's still only a 14 year old. And I know there's alot of things that she wants to do. I don't want my siblings to mature soon because of our situation. It was also one of the reason why I wanted the job so bad and why I m even ready to go to Korea for it. It is a big decision. It is hard for me too , but I wanted to do this for my family.
After talking to her for a bit , I brought up the topic of a biscuit cake that was becoming quite famous lately. All most everyone has made that cake around us and were updating the pictures of that fancy Homemade cake.
As a teenager, with all her friends following the trend, she too wanted to do it. I talked about my idea to her and how I can directly bring the cake over to her school. That way she'll be able to celebrate her birthday with her friends happily.
She goes to the same school I went to complete my 12th grade. So, I knew about all the teachers. I know I can convince her teacher if I request her to let Janvi celebrate her birthday at school. The school allowed the children to bring chocolates but not cake.
After making sure my sister had a beautiful smile on her face. I made my way towards my room.
There were alot of things that need to be sorted out and prepared beforehand. It was not like I was telling my parents about my plans without being fully prepared and knowing what I was getting myself into.
Then there was the issue with the visa too.I also needed to send an email to the company about my joining. I have 5 months before I fly to Korea . Hopefully everything goes well.
