Toku went back to his room to sleep as it was already late meanwhile Antonio remained on the dinning table pondering on what Toku had told him. It really didn't make sense as in the present era, the number of human beings with deviated cell largely surpassed those without it, as it was what enabled humans to gain different abilities or power. From the census carried out around the world, nearly seventy-five percent of the human population possessed the deviated cells and from what captain Lizzy had told him, Toku definitely possessed powers, although he never really bothered to ask what they were, he believed the captain wouldn't lie to him.
And if that was true it mean't that Toku possessed deviated cells, then why didn't the stone light up or show any reaction when he placed his hand on it. Antonio was thinking deeply to the reason behind this but he couldn't come up with any plausible reason.
' (sigh).....there is no need to think deeply about this, as all the answers will be revealed tomorrow, when the result of the test comes up. If he passed, good and fine but if he didn't pass the test, things will really not be good' Antonio said as he stood up and left to the kitchen to clean up before going back to his room.
The sun rose high into the sky indicating the arrival of the next day, Toku slowly got up from bed. After doing some streches here and there, he then went to the bathroom to take his bath. After about five minutes, Toku came out feeling refreshed and alive, he really enjoyed the feeling of being clean that taking bath gave him which was always very vague while he was at the forsaken realm.
He walked out of his room and into the sitting to see Antonio sitting on a couch while operating a pad
" Your food is in the dinning room..." Antonio said while still operating the pad, Toku went to the dinning room and saw some pancakes with honey smeared on top waiting patiently for him on the dinning table, the aroma was tantalizing and Toku couldn't help but feel that Antonio had wasted such talent by becoming a general at the border. Toku sighed as he enjoyed the great meal that Antonio had prepared. It didn't take long for Toku to finish eating and he soon joined Antonio in the sitting room.
Sitting on one of the couches, Toku was relaxing after eating the meal, although the pancakes looked flat, it was enough to make him fuull.
" So what are you up to with your N-pad?....." Toku asked Antonio who was probably reading something nonsensical as he had a trace of ridicule on his face.
" Ooooh.....nothing just going through some nonsensical news on line" Antonio answered while still looking at the N-pad "I didn't know you knew what N-pads were, I thought you wouldn't know judging from the fact that you came from the forsaken realm" Antonio commented
" Huh....really how won't I know, even though I came from the forsaken realm, you will be shocked by the amount of these things being smuggled into the forsaken realm, and you guys say that nothing can go through the border, how laughable" Toku replied back, he knew that Antonio wanted to tease him and take him for granted from what he said, so he will react in kind.
" What did you say?" Antonio dropped the N-pad as he stood up and purposely released his aura, Antonio knew that Toku was right about how goods are being smuggled into the forsaken realm without them knowing but he couldn't do anything and for someone to tell him this directly in his face, it really stung and what more it came from a kid who wasn't even up to eighteen.
" Hehehehe...nothing I was playing, you guys are really doing a great job at the border, you guys should even be given an award for the amazing work you all do" Toku immediately started buttering up Antonio as he realised he had struck a nerve and also because the aura and pressure emerging from Antonio was too much for him.
DING
Antonio was still glaring angrily at Toku when his N-pad got a notification, he retracted his aura while promising hiself that he would deal with this cheeky brat after as he grabbed his N-pad.
" Oooh...you got the admitted into ITI" Antonio said as he looked at the screen of his N-pad that displayed a message from ITI indicating that Toku got admitted.
" Oooh....really, was there any doubt" Toku commented feeling proud of hiself after getting the information. What Toku didn't know was that ITI was a really selective school, they normally had a really high standard that was only known to the management of ITI, they never made it known to the public, so they could take in the best of the best, and thereby producing the best possible humans of every generation.
While Toku was happy, Antonio was starring at the message with his eyebrows slightly furrowed, he was confused how Toku got the admission, from what he knew if the stone didn't light up it means you don't have any ability and you won't be able to enter ITI but how did Toku get in.
'well I guess i'll find the answer while am there' Antonio was truly confused by what was happening.
" Toku come on, we are leaving"
