Chapter 36 - I'm Compelled to Oblige Because of You!

In the back garden, Brad's quiet companionship moved one's heart.

After she climbed up a step, she turned around and looked at the man behind her. After careful consideration, she asked the doubt in her heart. "You know Felicia as well?"

The man had a hand in his trouser pocket. He was handsome and upright and his clear eyes were gentle. He didn't hide it and just nodded faintly. "Yes. The daughter from the third wife."

"Oh!' Susan stood at the spot and habitually tapped her lips with her fingertips while thinking. She glanced at the man from time to time. "Since you know her, why did you give me the photos and videos of her and the car owner?"

Generally speaking, shouldn't people familiar with one another help cover them up even more?!

Brad stood under the step and coincidentally met Susan's gaze at eye-level. He looked at her delicate and agile appearance. A smile gradually appeared on his thin lips. He reached out to put in place a hair strand that had flown to the corner of her mouth. "Want to know why I didn't help her, but you instead?"

Susan pouted and her clear eyes flashed. She muttered in a low voice, "Tell me then."

"Heh…" The man slowly let out a deep and low laugh. He stepped forward and they were well within reach of each other.

Under the moonlight, the woman's charming face was flushed red slightly. It seemed that she was a little shy and troubled because of his smile.

"Forget it if you don't want to tell me. Why are you laughing?!" Susan muttered out of spite. However, her twinkling eyes were guilty and she didn't dare to look at him.

Under Brad's penetrating gaze, Susan felt that her face, cheeks, and ears were hot to the touch. The deer inside her heart was rummaging freely.

She pursed her lips and suppressed her erratic breathing. She turned around and wanted to continue climbing the steps. Before she could do so, her wrist was pinched slightly by the man. He exerted a little force and Susan exclaimed and fell towards him.

She panicked and tried to stabilize her figure. However, they were too close to each other and she fell directly into his arms.

"Why are you leaving? Didn't you want to hear me share?!"

Susan's chin fell on the man's right shoulder. His magnetic and mellow voice was by her ear and his breath carried numbing heat.

"You… you can just say it! Don't use your hands and legs on me!"

Susan's voice trembled and she pushed his chest slightly.

She realized that the man tonight seemed to be exceptionally indulgent. He seemed to be more comfortable with little actions like grabbing her waist and hugging her.

The man slowly provided an answer. "Because it's you, I'm compelled to oblige!"

As he spoke, it was unknown if it was intentional or not as his thin lips brushed past her ear bone. It was only a slight touch, but her soul was shaking.

That 'Because it's you, I'm compelled to oblige!' sentence probably tugged at one's heartstrings the most at this moment.

In reality, Susan could sense an inexplicable sentiment in her interactions with Brad. However, she thought that it was because they were about to get married, so they were trying to adapt to each other.

However, at this moment, she completely overthrew this thought. This was because she clearly experienced the man's indulgence and pampering without any reason!

It was clearly understood, and he was open and upright about it.

Susan was slightly stunned in his arms. She didn't dare to say anything or move.

She didn't know what attitude she should use to respond. it was undeniable that her heart had become soft and full because of him.

"Oh, my eyes!"

At this moment, Luke's voice traveled from the entrance of the garden. He covered his eyes pretentiously, then spread his fingers. Although his tone was playful, he peeped grandiosely.

Susan pushed Brad away in a panic. She took two steps back and lowered her head to tidy her gown.

The fragrance on her body had left traces in Brad's nose. He looked at her affectionately, then turned to look at Luke. His voice was cold as he said, "You don't want your eyes anymore?"
