Chapter 6 - Chapter VI

Mateo had 2 children Sergio and David, with his wife Victoria, their children are very handsome and intelligent. Sergio is rebellious and very demanding, he was studying, but at the university, the teachers left the country and most of the students had to leave their studies to go to work or to leave the country as well. Ultimately that made him unmotivated a bit and he got to work. Still, he is working in a television plant at the university.

David is focused on his studies, since he studies nutrition and because it is a career that is in high demand, he maintains a good number of students enrolled, despite the large number of dropout students who have had to drop out, due to the great problem of economic and social order that all Venezuelans live. He also likes to cook, so he hopes to prepare well and be able to combine the knowledge he is acquiring in his career and lay the foundations to set up a good restaurant.

Mateo is a lawyer with a degree in business development, with post-graduate studies in criminology. However, he works as a karate instructor and performs legal work as a practicing lawyer. Victoria, his wife, is also a lawyer and has a degree in business development, however she works as a real estate developer, because she is paid by percentages of sales in dollars and earns more than working for the public administration.

With all of the above, it can be seen that in Venezuela academic preparation is not valued, since people do not have to have a university degree to earn well.

Another aspect that must be highlighted is that an awareness is being created among young people in which the importance of working is more prevalent, even if they do not study at any university. I think with these indications. A quite marked change is observed, in relation to the customs that were formed in each home previously, since at the time that I studied, the value was focused on obtaining an academic preparation and working while maintaining the certainty that the studies would generate knowledge and excellent financial gains.
