Chapter 46 - Chapter 46: I'm very very angry!

Nearly a week later,

The suns rise and shine onto the clear stream of cooling water traveling from inside the depth of the Eflo Woodland.

It flows through the narrowed brook and large polished rocks before finally pouring downward, creating a small waterfall. Even from a distance, one could hear the constant racket of water plunging.

Established underneath is a small lake situated a few miles to the north of the Dandelion Village. The crystal clear and shallow water enabled the morning sunlight to reach the bottom before exposing the fascinating dwellers paddling below.

It was a delightful morning, and Mu Suyin was currently lounging on a rocking chair while observing Myah's spear practice near the edge of the lake.

"He is getting there..." Mu Suyin muttered in a softened voice.

Discerning that Myah's every move is becoming more and more refined, she nodded, feeling at ease.

Judging from Myah's progress these past few days, she guessed that he probably didn't possess the inborn gift to practice the spear previously before the heavenly anomaly.

Otherwise, the Spear Soul would have enhanced Myah's existing talent to an even greater height.

If so, his skill would have improved at a much faster pace.

'Although I couldn't consider Myah's training progress to the cream of the crop compared to those geniuses back at the inner region, he still has ample room for growth.

'In the future, his talent would undoubtedly be improved even higher and higher once he nurtures the Spear Soul to a more mature stage. In the end, it's a gradual accumulation of growth.' Bathed in the morning sunshine, Mu Suyin rested her eyes and contemplated with a contented smile.

"It's about time..."

...

Hua!

Hua!

While jumping back and forth near the lake, Myah was sweating excessively as he busied himself by dodging the joined attack of a group of Spirit Beasts that resembled a glob of liquid.

They were a group of about ten to twenty Bouncing Slimes, a common type of Spirit Beast that you could find almost everywhere.

Usually, they are relatively tame and wouldn't take the initiative to attack others. However, Mu Suyin has sprinkled a particular powder on Myah's body, attracting the slimes' aggression for training purposes.

They made good sparring partners for a rookie.

For a brief second, Myah accidentally made a mistake.

After he slowed down his footsteps slightly to balance himself, the little guy instantly got hit in the face by one of the Bouncing Slimes' attacks.

"Ouch!" Covered his nose with one hand, he wept.

Luckily, these Bouncing Slimes are relatively weak for an early-stage Rank 1 Spirit Beast with their smooth and bouncy body made of pure sticky liquid.

They are just about the size of a typical water balloon.

Even though Myah didn't get any bad injuries from the straight hit, it hurt as though someone punched him straight in the face.

The sudden pain quickly diverted his state of concentration, and he was soon distracted.

'Oh no! not again!'

Sensing the incoming attacks, Myah immediately braced himself and used his short wooden spear to defend his vital area, his abdomen.

And, of course, one accidental mistake followed after another, and in no time, Myah gets drowned by the numerous attacks coming from all directions.

The one-sided beating has happened multiple times for the past few days, and it sure wasn't a pleasant experience.

Especially the first time.

Although Bumpkin very much wanted to help, it was too busy chewing on a green apple, not to mention that Mu Suyin would certainly not allow it to go into the rescue.

Otherwise, the purpose of this training would be useless.

Blam!

Blam! Blam! Blam!

Blam! Blam!

Blam! Blam!

Blam! Blam! Blam!

Enshrouded in a blue layer of spiritual energy, the group of Bouncing Slimes used their natural before shooting toward Myah's with their own body like a storm of cannonballs.

They are relentless!

After achieving complete victory every day from beating little Myah, these little blobs have become exceeding arrogant and even putting in the extra effort for today's session.

They could sense that he was steadily improving and dodging their attacks most of the time.

They feel extremely humiliated.

These Bouncing Slimes were determined not to let this hooman walk away unscathed,

Not today!

Then, after a while, there was a crisp sound of something breaking.

Unknowingly, one of Myah's few remaining baby teeth fell onto the ground.

"..."

'It... it broke!'

For a moment, time seems to have stopped, and Myah's body trembled uncontrollably.

The beating from the slimes never ceased, but instead, it continued even fiercer than before.

The sight of Myah's teeth falling onto the ground makes them feel incomparably thrilled and accomplished!

All for the Slimes' honor!

Unable to calm down his train of thought, Myah quickly gets angry. Next, he suddenly moved on impulse and swung the short wooden spear in his hand without thinking.

An unbelievable burst of air blast instantly pushed away all the slimes by more than five meters backward.

Meanwhile,

Inside Myah's mind, his status on the crystalline screen quietly changed.

Foundation Spear Arts,

It's widely spread throughout the Green-Wood Divine Continent.

While it's the most basic spear technique and easiest to learn, it's also one of the few hardest to master.

According to Myah's grandma, many renowned experts started learning this set of techniques when they first began their journey to become a spearman.

There's a belief that real battle is the best way to stimulate one's potential to its highest, which seems to be true in this case.

After roughly a week under his grandma's careful guidance and countless beating, Myah finally learned the last move of the Foundation Spear Arts and not because of his broken teeth.

"Hahaha, it's finally time for my revenge!!" Laughing out loud, Myah feels especially happy to finally get the opportunity to vent the grievance he has endured during these past few days.

"Now prepare to pay the price for my fallen front teeth, you bunch of ignorant slimes!"

Taking what seemed like a badass horse stand, Myah gripped the wooden spear tightly with his right hand and elevated it skyward with the tip toward the azure behind his back.

Exerting a rich stream of spirit energy inside his soul sea, Myah channeled them throughout his veins and body before imbued it into the wooden spear as it begins to glitter with a dim dazzling light.

"Take this, Force Swing!" With his confidence skyrocket, the little guy exclaimed as he swung the spear diagonally.

Swoosh!

A widespread and rough wave of white energy about one meter long quickly glid through the air toward the densely packed group of Bouncing Slimes.

To which, they jumped up and down, obviously not afraid at all.

In a shape that resembled a crescent moon, the scattered energy wave was impressive yet intimidating at the same time.

Boom!

Following the racket of a violent outburst, the place where the ray of energy crashed instantly ruptured the earth apart—the after force whipped up a billowing gale of dust particles spreading toward the surrounding area.
