Chapter 3 - Chapter 2 | Trustful Journey

I focused on the screen, my curiosity building like a cat fixated upon its prey. I couldn't wait to see what Confessed was. And how was it supposed to be a Christmas gift? Though I still had the feeling that someone is trying to mock me, I kept waiting because my curiosity didn't let me hold back. How was I going to dig into other's lives? Everything was strange, but my curiosity was most of all.

The light bothered my eyes in the darkness. My heart skipped a beat. Finally, it was time for it. Time to discover Confessed. Time to dig into other's lives. My hair wavered with the icy wind rushing through the open window. I quickly pulled them back and pressed on it, without even inhaling a breath. Suddenly, the screen turned black, from top to bottom with a single word in the center:

CONFESSED

-Stay patient and trust your journey-

I took a deep breath. This was cool. Especially for Zen, who is a lover of the black colour. His everything is black. I shook the thought of Zen from my head and, instead, focused on the black screen saying, stay patient and trust your journey.

Journey.

But a voice didn't let me focus. It was from outside. What could it be at this time of night? It was more like a wince. I finally looked. It frightened me a little, but I'd no other way. What if someone needed help?

I got up from my bed and left my phone after turning it off. I took a quick step toward the window. The wind pressure had spiked. I tried to stay on my feet as I moved forward. With each step, my body shivered even more and my hair darkened my sight as it fell on my face. I tucked them behind my ear for the umpteenth time and I was finally there; besides the window. The wincing sound had been even louder. Almost growling now. The air was even colder. It blew wildly and then rushed straight into me. My eyes filled with water as air attacked them. I finally dared to look out of the window. Placing my palms on the sill, I leaned forward. My hair began thriving wildly. I looked around to search for the source of the sound. Though it was still echoing in my ear, I couldn't find out the person. Not even sure if it was a human being or animal or even a...

I focused my eyes on the darkness and then spotted something. Something big and fluffy was running around. The object — creature — was the one producing these sounds. I tried to focus more. My eyes were already bulging out, but I still focused until when I discovered that the moving object was Bruno. Our dog.

"Bruno!" I tried not to scream, but it was loud enough.

I tried to make some gestures to attract his attention, but he was running wild and producing weird noises. He had never looked this wild in my entire life for sixteen years. His farthest reaction of fear could bark, but now he was running and growling. It looked like someone was following him or gripping him as if something pulled him backward. But there was no one down there. Just Bruno, who was running in darkness. What could it be?

No way. I thought and focused on Bruno, whose growls were increasing with every second passing by. "Bruno, just shut up. You're freaking the crap out of me." I ran toward my bedside drawer and pulled it open, snappily. I ran my hand through the clattered things in it and after a long struggle, my fingers touched the cold metal of the torch. I gripped it with all five fingers and pulled it out. Before I could even turn it on, I heard another sound.

This time from my phone.

"Who is it now?" I groaned as I stood up, brushing my pants, and moved toward the window. I was about two feet away from the window when a voice spoke in my mind.

Return. Check it.

It was strange. It sounded like my voice. I didn't care about the voice, rather, focused on the point, Return. Why?

Not bothering with my mind anymore, I ran to my phone. But some sense told me not to do it. I still ran toward it and opened it. It was an email from 7734.
