Lydia's parents used to abuse both of them. {Sarah from the past life and Lydia from this life}. Even though it used to hurt, Lydia grew up getting used to getting hit, so her way of covering herself indicated it wasn't her first time.
Daniel, on the other hand, stood from his place to turn off the IV, remove it from her arm, and then take her back to his home. He can't deny that he was mad at her when she said the word 'divorce'. Yes, he was mad to the point of beating someone and then killing them, but he knew it wouldn't be Lydia.
As if expecting him to hit her, he saw her cover herself. Was she previously hurt by someone? It made him wonder.
"It is not my intention to hit you. Don't cover yourself or act as if I am bullying you." As she noticed that he was holding the channel off, Lydia glanced up at him. However, he was only doing that to turn the IV off.
Lydia's question caused him to veer off his track as he went towards the door.
"Where are you going?" she wondered, was he mad at her because she asked for a divorce? Was he sad because she asked for a divorce? Or was he glad she brought it up?
A smirk appeared on his lips when he saw how her cheeks flushed when he answered." I just was just going to call a nurse so that she could remove the IV. Are you concerned I won't be returning and you'll miss me?
"H-have you no shame? I can do it myself. No need to scare some poor nurse with that scary face of yours." She quickly pulled out the needle that had been in her arm and ran to the door. Standing in front of the door, he turned to face her and refused to let her pass.
Crossing his arms, he asked her, "Eh, where are you going?". The woman did not feel like starting another argument with this man, so she moved left to go, but then he, too, moved left. Her next move was to move right, but then again, he also moved right. They repeated the process four times.
'Just what on earth does this man want from me?' She asked herself. This guy was so damn tall that he reminded her of the Great Wall of China. She laughed at the mere thought of him being compared to a wall. Perhaps she chuckles a bit, her hand covering her mouth so she wouldn't laugh too loud.
"What are you laughing at?" he inquired curiously.
"I was just comparing how tall you were to the Great Wall of China." She laughed for a moment, then went back to her original question.
She was unable to get out because of this man. Her stomach suddenly growled due to hunger as the room became completely silent. Out of all the times, it growled now.
As the chairs turned, he began laughing at her.
"So you're planning on something, and that something seems to be a restaurant. Just in time, I'm about to eat dinner." He muttered. When he opened the door, she followed. She was walking behind. While travelling was hard, she was sure tired, she didn't get enough sleep, that's exactly what they meant when they said it was hard.
Taking her by the wrist as she walked like a turtle, he grabbed her and began walking faster.
"Sir, please let go-"
"Why do you always look like you're going to cry? " Daniel mused.
Lydia touched her face and realized her eyes were growing watery. She didn't think she was a crybaby.
