Getting up, she picked up her phone to check who was calling. She's surprised to see the words 'private number' on her phone.
The woman muttered under her breath, "what a joke!".
Would it be better for me to answer, or would it be better not to?'
Lydia could only see a pair of shoes when she looked around.
'If it falls on the right side, I'll answer it, but if it falls on the left side, I'll ignore it'
She throws the shoe into the air, and it lands on its left side.
"It's decided, I'll ignore it,"
I kept hearing the phone ring until it finally stopped.
When she put the phone down and lay back on the bed, she was getting ready to sleep; as she closed her eyes, however, the phone rang again, and the loud noise startled her.
As before, her caller ID read "private number".
She rose from the bed and took the shoe.
"I'll try it again."
Throwing it in the air, it landed on its left side again. Once the phone stopped ringing, she picked it up to turn off the volume.
'Perhaps this person will stop calling'
She sat back on the bed and placed her phone on the little circle table behind her bed, then drifted off to sleep.
Dreaming of her bestie and how they ate cakes and played cards in her past life, she also dreamed about herself in secret missions, about how her father treated her, how her own biological mother treated her. Her happy dreams turned into a nightmare.
The woman was sweating from her forehead as she struggled to sleep.
Once again, the phone rang and rang.
The sound of the phone awoke Lydia, who was having a nightmare. As she saw it, she was trembling, and it read 'private number'.
"I don't know who this person is. Should I answer or should I just leave this call?"
"This time I'll throw the shoe in the air and answer if it lands on the left side, but I'll ignore if it lands on the right side."
When she threw it in the air, it started flipping until it landed neither on the left nor on the right. There is a landing on the toe of the shoe. The look on Lydia's face was surprising.
She picked up the phone and answered it.
"Lyd..."When Lydia cut him in the middle of talking, the person on the other line didn't even have the chance to finish their words.
"You fu***** damn bastard, don't you know you call once, twice, thrice, when the person doesn't answer you, you shut your fu***** hell phone and go do your business and let me also do mine, so never call me again unless I do." As she clicks the end call and looks at the times on the phone.
"It seems like I slept for six hou..." before she could even finish her sentence she saw 78 missed calls from the same caller.
"Who in the world is this person?" her stomach growled from hunger, as she questioned herself.
"Poor you, it's okay. Let's go downstairs and eat, I'll do my best to cause trouble. In my past life, everyone called me a troublemaker for that very reason."
Putting on the shoe she had found on the floor, she headed for the door. As soon as she opened it, she saw six well-built people. Their suits were all black, and they had open collars.
"OMG, I got myself in serious trouble, I really am a troublemaker after all. I don't know why bodyguards were here in the first place, could it be... oh my god, that was fast!"
Just after finishing her sentences, she realized that she said it in a loud voice, she saw the bodyguard that was in front of her approach her and handed her a black phone.
"The boss wants to talk to you," said the one who handed her the phone.
