"Who would have ever thought that children everyone labeled as demon babies could have such vivid imaginations on cloud nine? With a normal life as well?."
"Look at him, such an innocent child. Those damn villagers and their beliefs, how could they even believe a harmless Child would be able to hurt a fly? Ain't they being deceived by those people?."
"Five years from now, we would be saying a damn goodbye to this damn village."
The following years as a growing child weren't as easygoing as it was previously as a baby.
He was finally allowed to ask a lot of questions, which could fill most holes in his vocabulary and grammatical error. This was particularly another hidden thought from both Christopher and Christy, as they got closer towards their goal they realized this was the best time for their son to start learning about his family and its surroundings.
First, they couldn't rush his young mind or force any sense of ideology on him, so they had to start slowly by introducing things that might interest him.
Such as where they were living after this Tobi got to know the name of his village which was called Amai. Which was in fact one of the numerous villages situated under the jurisdiction of minor a Noble. Which in turn answers to a faraway kingdom.
As a parent even though they knew he would have loved to know more, they couldn't divulge too much information for safety purposes.
This made him realize his parents were never explaining clear details concerning their neighboring villages or counties, except the fact that they would always warn him to be wary of the villagers and never speak to anyone they didn't know especially weirdos.
Most especially he couldn't go outside, every information on outside the village was from through Christopher who always traveled outside their village, even with that he neither ask much nor cares about knowing much outside his business.
From their perspective, the villagers were bad people, and the acclaimed king was regarded like some sort of mythical thing clouded with mysteries.
Whereas the only fair and just person in the village, which they put all their faith and worries on was the village head. Not only was his administration on everyone fair even as a minor noble he still paid taxes in the village just like everyone did, besides his fair he also had a habit of collecting intricate art and would show them off during the Amai festival as a guest of honor.
His parents never mentioned to him anything else, like the rare land fighting outbreak, wars, robbery, and killing that constantly occurred. They only resulted in telling him tales he had long dismissed as nonsense.
Tobi was really dissatisfied with such little pieces of information. He wanted to know everything about his surroundings, like if there were organizations for beings like himself out there.
But no matter how much he asked his parents, they seemed dumb to most things he expected them to know, even though he didn't expect much from them, but he didn't expect things to be so much worse that they barely knew how to differentiate left from right in the village.
Moreover, his hypothesis of what race his family might be had long been dismantled, as he grew he noticed beside him every member of his family were just normal humans, to begin with, they had no abilities like his own.
Tobi realized he might have been expecting too much from them, especially on such matters which they were unlikely to have any clues about.
He guess even if they knew something it was either they would be dead by now, or might as well kept it a secret, to themselves till their grave, because of their fears.
He at least wanted to learn more about the history, anything that could give him an edge about what to expect from this new reality of his.
Unfortunately, it was clear they knew little and cared less about anything else. To make matters worse, he couldn't pose questions he was not supposed to let out from his mind or even less ask the system, who would obviously ignore him.
Besides everything else, his family tree was quite simple to understand. Christy and Christopher had gotten married at age of 28 and 30, by village standards, they had slightly even gone past the age of getting married.
With Christopher being an only child of his mother, and his father bearing him as the seventh child from his seventh wife.
He could only inherit the little portion of land his father had given his mother when they died, after getting married to the most beautiful woman among her peers which was Christy, who had gotten pregnant rather quickly after their marriage, giving birth to their first son, that had mysteriously passed away.
Then she got pregnant again, 2 years later giving birth to Ada, and a year later giving birth to Belle.
Finally their last son Tobi, seven years later. This meant that Christy and Christy and Christopher were currently 40 and 42 years old, Ada was 9 years old, Belle the younger daughter 8 years old, and finally who was Tobi 2 years and a few months old.
In fact, most of that information might have been wrong, caused they claim old age made them forget a few things. The information was from constant pestering, his question was mostly limited to' What this? Why is that?'
Spending more and more time with the rest of his family and from their hidden discussions, he somehow had discovered that he was called a demon child which was done respectively by the whole village and the society they lived in.
This was the cause of his attack when he was just nine months old.
Their explanations made him realize, the village was in an age where the breeding of demon children could be seen, irrespective of what type of family background or status a person possesses.
However, despite them being born like normal children, their most notable features were having two to three pairs of eyes, and an ouroboros demon mark hidden
within their bodies.
At first, when Tobi knew of this, he was flabbergasted he didn't have any reaction in the first few seconds. No one knew what he was thinking, nor what was on his mind.
No matter, how Tobi thought about his situation it was hard for him to understand it. Nevertheless, Christopher and Christy couldn't wait any longer, so on this particular day in the morning.
